First thing assistant manager Mel did was come around the passenger side, take out my glove compartment and offer to replace the (admittedly dirty) cabin filter for 54.99 plus tax. Something they've never checked in previous visits with any of my vehicles, why now? After he was done, I quick looked online and saw that the same filter is available on Amazon for $10-15, and it's frankly a 2-minute remove and install with no skill necessary. Mel refused to budge on the price, saying he was only doing his job, even when told I would make this review. Don't let yourself get slammed with an overpriced upsell when you visit with a coupon. They know exactly what they are doing. Meanwhile, I'll be going elsewhere for my oil changes from now on. Thanks, Mel and Corporate Vampire Valvoline of Newburgh.
