  Beware of their predatory hidden charges! According to their own official return receipt, I picked up my rental car with a 6/8 fuel level and returned it at 5/8. The difference was exactly 1/8 of a tank. However, they charged me an absurd $38.97 for that 1/8 of a tank! Mathematically, this implies that a full tank of gas costs over $310 USD. This is completely unjustifiable and feels like a total scam. To make matters worse, their customer service is completely non-existent. I emailed them over a week ago to dispute this ridiculous charge, and they have completely ignored my messages. No reply, no explanation, nothing.

  great experience renting car, very easy to drop off and go. Ron was helpful and did not pressure us, and helped us with some upgrades. highly recommend ! car was also really nice and smooth to drive, with carplay

  Aggressive sales practices and almost nonexistent customer service. This was my first time in the United States, something I explicitly told the rental agent, but the experience at the counter felt less like customer service and more like negotiating against someone whose objective was to extract as much additional money as possible. My booked vehicle was unavailable. I explained that I did not need that exact model, only an equivalent vehicle with the luggage capacity I had booked. I was told there was another vehicle available, but that it was smaller and that I could not see it before accepting it. If I wanted certainty that our luggage would fit, I was pushed toward a more expensive vehicle. The result was a $100+ Choice Upgrade. I was also strongly sold SIXT’s Toll Pass after being told that otherwise I would pay approximately $20 extra for every toll, plus the toll itself. SIXT’s own Rental Agreement describes the alternative differently, with the convenience fee applying per rental day regardless of how many tolls are used. What makes the experience particularly poor is what happened after the sales pitch. I purchased the Toll Pass, but nobody told me that the toll transponder box in the car had to be opened for it to work. Nobody explained the car, the toll system or practically anything about the rental. We were simply given the keys and sent on our way. There was plenty of time to explain every product that could increase the cost of the rental, but apparently no time to explain how to use the services I had just paid for. The overall impression was that maximizing additional sales was much more important than helping the customer. I would not rent from this branch again.
