- CCChris ClaymanAug 19, 20262.0Not sure if it's just this location or all Sixt branches, but we observed and experienced the guy at the check-in/return desk refusing to comply with Sixt regulations (all stated on their website) with all customers in line both times. He seems to think that because they're in Times Square they can make their own rules. Beware. He also constantly haggles for extras (upgrades that should be free but aren't, toll passes, using his own employee "discount" to trick customers into purchasing more). The branch also seems to be running a gas scam. Sixt states on their website that their fuel policy is "full-to-full," meaning you get a full tank upon pick-up & you return it full or face a charge. However, they're not filling up the tanks to start with, and if people don't check & just assume, or out of habit, they return the car with a full tank, handing this guy & location unearned profit. Shady guy. Shady branch. Shady Sixt?

I chose this SIXT location because of its proximity to my apartment and, importantly, the 24-hour drop-off option. From pickup to drop-off, everything was incredibly smooth. I returned the vehicle at 11:30 PM, and the final invoice was processed the following day with every charge 100% accurate—exactly what you hope for with a rental. I would highly recommend SIXT Times Square for the excellent selection of vehicles (I rented a Volvo XC60), exceptionally friendly staff, convenient central location, and 24-hour drop-off service. I’ll definitely be using this location again!
