Oil Change Services

Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.

Tire Rotation

Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.

Brakes Service & Repair

Regular brake inspections help you to know when to service your brakes and can save you money by finding needed repairs before they become severe.

Mufflers & Exhaust

We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.

Wheel Alignment

Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.

Shocks, Struts & Suspension Replacement

Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.

Car Battery Replacement and Installation

Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples. Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.

TPMS Sensor Replacement

There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

I've been getting tires at Mavis for years and have never regretted it. I strongly recommend shopping here and getting their tire warranty. I have had call to use it. Normally I never get extended warranties. This one is worth it. I appreciate that I can see my car being worked on through a window in the waiting area. The staff is friendly and helpful. For time perspective: there was one person in the waiting room when I arrived. It took about 2.5 hours for putting on the new tires and alignment. Lastly, the bathroom should be cleaner.

My front tire was stripped and I was in desperate need of replacing it. I carefully drove slowly to Mavis in New Hyde Park and walked up to the sales manager and asked if he had my size tire to which he replied "YES". I entered the office and stood behind the counter as he looked into the computer to find it. He informed me that he needed to order the tires because they were not in stock. I already felt lied to because he said he had them. He told me that they would take a few hours to arrive and that he would call me when he had them. I got back into my car and slowly drove home on a flat tire. Thank God they were run flat tires. I waited a few hours and didn't recive any phone call, so I called Mavis to check on the status of my order. The rep told me that the tires would be arriving "any minute" and that he would call me a soon as they got there. This was a Saturday afternoon. I received a voicemail telling me that the tires were not going to be delivered and that I would have to wait until Monday morning between 8am and 9am. I called at 9am on Monday morning and the tires were still not there. It wasn't until 12:17pm that someone called to tell me that my tires had arrived. The level of unprofesionalism at this location is amazing. The total disregard for customer service and accountability is incomprehensible. The miscommunication of the timing of delivery is inexcusable.

(LONG review) DO NOT go to the New Hyde Park location for anything other than tires. I am not a mechanic and but I know my car. First visit 3/30/26: I went to get a new tire, they discovered I had an oil leak and I needed a new valve gasket cover. I said ok. I left my car there the entire day. I get there after my shift finishes and they tell me they received the wrong part and now have to wait for another one (not their fault) Another one arrives and again, wrong part. The guy at the front desk says “it’s ok, I have a worker that’s coming who can “make it work”. I cautiously say ok. He comes, “fixes it” and i’m on my way out. My car’s Time spent at Mavis about 7 hrs. Second visit 6/26/26: I needed new front brakes and a possible new battery. I took my car in. He shows me the itemized breakdown of work I need done and guess what’s on there??? The Valve gasket cover. How is that when it was fixed the first time??!!! He explains it will be covered, I said of course it is because I’m not paying for it. They work on my breaks and everything is done, perfect. One of the workers test drive it. I ask him everything ok? he says yes ( of course he would right?) Explains the breaks may pulsate due to them being new, made sense to me. I leave the parking lot and start to hear this rubbing, rattle sound, like something is caught inside the wheel. I go back to Mavis. They say nothing’s wrong but we’ll try to fix it. They “fix it” and I go for another test drive myself and I hear it. i go back. Another worker decides to test drive it himself and he comes back and of course, he heard something because something is wrong! They put it on the lift again. They said they will switch out the rotor because it may be “factory defective”. So, once that’s fixed, I say ok then that should be it. I intend on leaving this time so I drive off…….What’s the sound….?? Now it sounds like something in my axle is loose (again im not a mechanic so this is my guess) Every time I go over a bump, there’s a loose knock and rattle. I, AGAIN, bring it back. I tell them there’s something loose. They lift it. They said everything is tight and placed well and after a long, frustrating day, I say you know what? Maybe it’s me, maybe im hearing things. I leave. The drive home it did nothing but rattle and knock where they “replaced” the rotor. 6/28/26: I bring it to another mechanic. Lo and behold, the brake caliper was loose. If i hit a bad enough pothole, my car (or me) could’ve been done for. It now drives great. That was incredibly irresponsible of them after being reassured several times that my car is fine and nothing was wrong. It’s my fault for going back, I will accept that responsibility. There were 2 other gentleman who were there going through their own issues with this location as well and know what I was going through. I really would like a refund for the brake service because that was negligent and very dangerous.
