I live two blocks away from Mavis in nanuet. . I got there 445 on 6/23/26 to repair a leak on my front passenger tire. John and Nick were so helpful that I was amazed with how fast I got in and got out. I was there no longer than 20 minutes. My experience was exceptional.
I have been using Mavis, for approximately 20 years. The service is good at most of them, but the one at 321 West Route 59 to me is the best.

I came for an inspection for my car, which is new from the dealer with no issues prior to bringing it.
I waited the wait allotted period being 1 and a half hours. Once the wait period was over they said I need new rear brake pads and shocks, which came to $650 for the parts, not bad inflation prices, and I did need new shocks which the dealership pointed out recently when I got my tires replaced by them. However, little did I know they didnt do the inspection prior to replacing the shocks and break pads. Once they finshed the replacement, they said my check engine light was on, which was odd since its new from dealer and under warranty. They said they would drive the car around to see if the light turned off[WITHOUT MY PERMISSON]. After an hour of driving[WITHOUT MY PERMISSON], the light didn’t turn off...so they failed my car and told me I needed to see a mechanic so I did. The mechanic said there is nothing wrong with the car and found the "codes" to be different than what they showed up to be at Mavis and cleared it. I drove 100 miles, the light did not turn back on. They scammed me out of an inspection which i orginally came for because they didnt double check after the brakes and clear the brakes error. Additionally they charged me over 1128 dollars with labor being for over 4 HOURS even though they did nothing for the last hour except drive my car to wait for the light to go off, which ruined my day and wasted my time.
UPDATE:
Had a call with consumer resolutions and said they could refund me for labor hours on my vehicle and the 37 dollar inspection fee, after talking with manager they cannot and only tried to offer me a discount for next time... So went to get my car inspected by my trusted mechanic and they found out that my car failed for no reason and ended up passing my car. They lied to the state and cannot refund me. I will be reporting this....
