  I recently brought my car in to Dail transmission and car care for an uncommon repair. Isabel the owner is always so kind and polite and willing to go above and beyond for her customers. Which she did in my particular case and I was thrilled with the outcome. If you want professional, fair and competent service, Dail and Isabel are the best!!

  My experience with Dail Transmission and total car was a great experience. Their knowledge of cars and customer service was beyond awesome. They let you know what’s wrong and work with you. Would I use them again, absolutely. They go above and beyond.

  The people at Dail provided above and beyond service. On a long drive my transmission overheated and I had to stop in Middletown. Within ONE DAY Dail had me back on the road to see family. This was a 9 hour job and they still managed to get me back on the road within the day. Extremely grateful for their help, and couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you!

  I had a very disappointing experience at this shop. I came in for a routine New York State inspection and was told my vehicle failed because of a front strut. In fact, the mechanic never identified the specific component by name. He simply pointed at the area for a crack that I could not see instead of explaining what part had allegedly failed. During the inspection, the technician removed the wheel, which immediately seemed unusual to me for a standard state inspection. I asked why this was necessary because I have had state inspections performed in other states and genuinely wanted to understand the reason because I could not see the crack they were referring to. Instead of giving me a prompt, professional explanation, the employee laughed before answering my question. As a customer, I found that dismissive and disrespectful. I also want to point out that I was visibly pregnant at the time, which made me feel especially vulnerable. Being told I needed an expensive repair without a clear explanation made me worry that I could be taken advantage of. Whether that was the intention or not, it significantly reduced my confidence in the assessment. I purchased this Toyota vehicle last year, and since then we have driven it very little. It had not shown any suspension problems, unusual noises, or handling issues during regular use and routine inspections. Being told that my vehicle had a major suspension problem during a state inspection- without clear explanation of the findings or how they determined the suspension component had failed- raised concerns and made me feel that obtaining a second opinion was the right decision. Because I wasn't comfortable with the explanation, I took the vehicle to a Toyota dealership for a second opinion. They performed a NY State inspection, and my vehicle passed. During the Toyota dealership’s inspection and routine maintenance, no suspension issue requiring repair or causing the vehicle to fail either inspections was identified. Based on my experience, I lost confidence in the original assessment. I encourage anyone who is presented with a costly repair during a state inspection to seek a second opinion, especially if they laugh at inquiries. Customers deserve clear explanations, respectful communication, and honesty when asking questions about their vehicles.
