  Made an inspection appointment via the phone number they have listed on Google for a same day inspection. Got to the shop to find out they don’t do inspections on Sunday or Monday. Your outfit needs to work on communications so all parties involved don’t waste their time.

  If I could give zero stars, I would. I arrived at opening on the morning of July 4th for a New York State inspection. Before I could even explain why I was there, Assistant Manager Jim yelled that the store was closed, nobody was there, to "come back Tuesday," and sarcastically wished me a "Happy 4th." This made no sense because I have had my vehicle inspected at this same location on July 4th in previous years. I left shocked by how I had been treated, but then decided to return because no customer should be spoken to that way. My only intention was to get the store manager's phone number so I could report the interaction. Instead, Jim became even more hostile. He repeatedly shouted that there was no one to help me, that it was the Fourth of July, that he was locking the door, to come back Tuesday, and even mocked me by saying, "Happy inspection." While this was happening, I noticed another vehicle, went over and spoke to the driver who was seeking the same service. Rather than helping them, Jim yelled at them too. He then called me "a crazy person." This is not my first negative encounter with this assistant manager. It is the second time I have experienced this same rude, aggressive, and unprofessional behavior. There is absolutely no excuse for yelling at customers, insulting them, or refusing to communicate respectfully. Whether the store was able to perform inspections that day or not, a simple, polite explanation would have taken less than 30 seconds. If this is how Monro allows customers to be treated, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The fix or inspection isn't worth the abusive treatment. There are plenty of repair shops in the Malta area that understand customer service and treat people with basic respect. P.S. the online and phone scheduling programs DO NOT WORK. Don't try to schedule service using their automated systems and actually expect to get the work done.

  This is the second vehicle that we had inspected at Monroe. They were friendly and we were in and out in less than an hour. We will return for tire maintenance as well.

  Would give them 0 stars if I could! DO NOT GO HERE! We gad an appointment for my teenage kid's car to get new tires and a parking brake on THURSDAY! We dropped it off first thing in the morning and had not heard anything by 5pm. My daughter called and was told that the service manager had to give her an update and was not there. He never called back. 11am the next day I called and was told they hadn't gotten to it yet, but it was next in line and they would call when it was done. By 4pm, we had to call them again and were told it was on the lift but wouldn't be finished by the time they close. My husband was NOT happy and told them we would be picking it up 10am Saturday mornkng. Just got there and it was up on the lift with no tires on it! Instead of even being apologetic the service manager made excuses about only having one mechanic (then don't schedule so many appointments you can't keep up. Ours was 2 days ago!) and got into a shouting match with my husband. Not impressed at all. If they were not actively working on the parking brake I would take it elsewhere right now.

  Just had a great experience here. Fixed my tire on short notice. Treated me great and was nice just talking to the crew. Made me feel welcome. Definitely be back and definitely recommend these guys to others.
