  I recently moved 500+ miles and used Penske, because I heard such amazing things about them. I had rented a 16 foot truck, 24 furniture pads and a handtruck. When I arrived at the rental site, I was told by the clerk that the truck was there but the pads nor the handtruck were there. She then proceeded to give me the location of a Home Depot that I could go to and buy them outright, if I wanted them. She genuinely could not care less. This was at 8:15 and I had movers coming at 9. We did the best we could with packing the truck but, unfortunately, one of my dressers was damaged. I called Penske, speaking with several of their employees, who seemed shocked by all of this and told me to file a claim, which I did. A note: I did not pay for the insurance for the cargo - only the truck. However, because Penske did not provide the protection that I had reserved, they thought I had a case. Found out today that I was denied. Under typical circumstances (ie the pads were provided), I would understand but this is complete BS. Because of Penske, my furniture was unprotected. I shouldn't have to worry about a backup plan on one of the most stressful days of my life. Nor do I know what I should have done instead. Never again.

  Everything was good but they rob you for diesel I filled up till neck and return the truck after times and they charged me 6.2 gallons more when I filled up the fuel 2 min away from the location and they charge me $62 for the diesel I already filled

  Rented a Ford Transit 250 high roof cargo van from this location for a one-way trip to Chicago and had a great experience -- the Penske rep on the phone (not connected with this specific location) was super friendly and tried to find me all the deals (for example, prices varied depending on which drop-off in Chicago I chose, and she searched for the cheapest). Penske called to confirm the rental a few days in advance, which gave peace of mind, and I was in and out of the location (which, admittedly, is in a not very inviting looking trailer) within 10 minutes on the day of pick up. Bonus: Nobody tried to upsell me on insurance or moving accessories. The van was super clean and new, with only 400 miles, and though this is a very tricky intersection to be driving a cargo vehicle through for the first time, one of the workers helped stop traffic so I could merge onto the road, which was a huge help. I'd considered renting from Budget because I got a cheaper quote, but really glad I went with Penske since they actually guarantee that the vehicle you rent will be there at the time you select.

  This is now my go to place when I rent (which can be often!). There are other rental companies around the same price closer to me...BUT without a doubt this is the least stressful, EASIEST, quickest place with the best Customer Service. JANAE (I think she is the Manager?) ROCKS! She was extremely helpful & Jesse who works there is super laid back & a pleasure, too. Even Jorge(?) who checked out the van with me was great! I specifically called Allen who I was told was the Boss to let him know how great they were. The ONLY issue I have is that it is far from the subway, & I don't think there is a bus from there (at least that I have seen), so if I drop off late, I need to take an Uber home.
