Bait-and-switch pricing and petty customer service. I called ahead and was verbally quoted $300–$400 for a standard 4-cylinder alternator replacement. Once the tow truck dropped my vehicle off on their lot, they hit me with an inflated package quote of $2,100, attempting to bundle an unneeded valve cover gasket and a massive markup on a serpentine belt. I flat out told them to their faces that a serpentine belt is only a $30 part, the valve cover gasket is a similar price, and that I change my own spark plugs and brakes and could easily do those jobs myself. When I challenged the overlapping labor, the desk advisor immediately cracked and dropped the alternator price to $750. However, out of sheer pettiness because I called out their pricing games and refused their massive markups, they refused to install a new belt unless I paid full price—claiming they 'had to lift the car' to change it. This is mechanical nonsense; the serpentine belt must be completely removed from the alternator pulley to perform the swap anyway. They chose to put a worn, high-mileage belt back onto a brand-new alternator simply because I negotiated and told them I knew the actual part costs. Beware of their predatory pricing traps if you get towed in here. They will try to play you if they think you don't know cars.

I came to Mavis with a huge bubble on my front right tire yesterday. I didn't think that could happen to Michelin tires since they are so pricey👎anyway; The plan was to replace that single tire, but after speaking to Erika, she let me know that I had directional tires and confirmed that my tires were not all the same. So that explained why acceleration on rainy days was so scary. I was like 😲 and my response to Erika was, "Can we just replace them all to match them uniformly? She did not hesitate to schedule my car for the next day 8am because she understood my needs and cared about my safety 1st.The price was a little over 1k but safety has no price right!? 🙃Thank you, Erika 👍 and to the rest of the team who worked on my car thanks for advising me to check my car before my road trip. You worked so fast and efficiently. You guys rock!! 👏 👏
