I sent my daughter to get a to go Mavis to get a bald tire replaced. I called and got an estimate. Appointment on Monday. When the new tire came from the distribution there was a piece of metal was sticking out and Randy said he was uncomfortable put that on my car. Long story short I ended up with 2 new tires and only cost me $10 more then Estimate. I was pleased I was so excited to a company that went above and beyond what they had to do. Randy thank you for being so professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend 👌 Mavis.

if i could give 0, i would. online scheduling is not ran well. i scheduled an appointment early on Wednesday for 1:00 for an inspection. i live about 45 minutes away. i was given a call 15 mins before my appointment to cancel and reschedule due to them having 4 other inspections at that time. so i rescheduled for today, just to get another call saying i would be waiting for about 2 1/2 hours due to other customers needing inspection. booked for Monroe tire instead, and was told i will be getting in and out. it’s a shame, as i usually go to the mavis in rensselaer, and was recommended to go to latham. poor planning. 2 times.

Staff is kind. Techs explain issues and how to resolve it clearly. I have had a tpms replacement, oil change and exhaust work. I am looking at getting tires purchased next. They took the time to go over my options and which tires would be the best and quietest for my truck. This is my new repair shop now.

If you need an inspection don’t go to Mavis. I scheduled an appt and I get there and they said “oh yeah we tried to call you” (I didn’t receive any call) then they proceeded to tell me they can’t fit me in because they are backed up. (So wtf was the point in me making an appt.) They rescheduled me for Saturday and I go back and they say oh yeah we tried to call you (AGAIN) and I then asked them if they had the right number because I still hadn’t received any calls. They then called the number they had on file and my phone rang. CRAZY!!! So really no one had tried to call me. Then he proceeded to ask me if I was staying or leaving my car there I asked how long it would take and they said their system was down and just came back on so they were backed up. He says he doesn’t think he would be able to get me in today because they are so backed up, so if I said I was leaving it there would I have to leave it there overnight?!? I then went to jiffy lube down the street and they got me in immediately and were friendly. Mavis has no organizational skills. I’m a female college student so I think they thought they could just pull a fast one on me but I stood my ground and told them I was going somewhere else. I do not recommend going here.

Made an appointment for an inspection and was told they only had 1 inspector so it would be over 2 hours. I asked to reschedule for the following Saturday and the manager said that would be better, they always have 2 inspectors on Saturday. Brought my car for a 9am appointment and by 11:30am it hadn't been moved. I asked the same manager why I made an appointment if they can't take my car on time; he said he was sorry and only had 1 inspector. I said that's weird since you told me when I rescheduled you would have 2 here, he apologized again and my car was in the bay 10 minutes later. A few minutes go by and he pulls me aside and tells me my E-brake is stripped and asked if I had brake work done recently. I said I had it done in the early Spring but haven't had issues since. He told me they can't pass my inspection without the e-brake working so I need to get that fixed and I can come back for my inspection. Brought my car to a dealership with my worries of a faulty e-brake to be told the e-brake is fine and my car passed inspection with flying colors.
If you can't handle the number of appointments you have, just tell the customer. Don't lie to them or make up excuses as to why they have to wait longer than inspected. I'm also not sorry for speaking up and telling them it's ridiculous. But I am sorry for wasting my time twice at this place.
Don't waste your time with Mavis. What a joke.
