Having a horrible experience here. Called this morning to make sure they had a tire I needed. I was told they had everything they needed here already. I’ve been here almost 2 hours and my car still has not been taken in or touched. I had a 1 o’clock appointment. I was told it would be approximately an hour and a half. When I questioned ( I was not yelling) the woman a “manager by the name of Jason got in my face a bit. After apologizing for being hard of hearing and talking loudly, he told me he didn’t like that. I asked him to. Please let me know how much longer it would be. I said I had things to do and I could have come later in the day. He explained that my 1 o’clock time was just to reserve a spot that was not explained when I made the appointment or when I dropped off the car.. When I returned it after an hour and a half I was told that they had to wait for the tire and a certain bay to put my car up. Don’t understand. I have one tire on a Subaru Forrester. That’s a 2017. No kind of special car no special kind of tire. The service here is horrible. The man went and got my keys and handing them back to me and told me to come back later, I attempted to call another Mavis to see if they could take me. I got disconnected so I handed them the keys back and I said I will sit here and wait for my car. We’ll see what happens. I’ll post another review once I get my car back.

I want to thank Jake for his service. Based on a recent repair in another state, I had the pleasure of working with Jake to find out why the repair was not up to the standards. He was transparent along with the technician that work on my vehicle about the work that was done or not done properly. They ensure that they were going to resolve my issue. They work with me and scheduling my appointment making sure the parts were there and they work diligently to get the car repair based on the issues that I face when I had the suspension done the first time.

LADIES AVOID. They tried to scam me because I am a woman. I came in for a New York state vehicle safety inspection. 2 hours later, Jake the mechanic told me that I was going to fail the safety inspection unless I paid $250 for him to replace the air filters in the cabin and the engine. I googled it, and that is a LIE. Air filters are NOT a required part of the safety insection under New York state law. I confronted them with this fact, and they immediately closed up my car and I left without paying anything. I will be filing an official complaint to Mavis Tire's corporate office AND to the New York State DMV if corporate does not handle this matter appropriately.

I went to this auto shop to have my yearly inspection done for my registration on my car. They told me it’d be 37 dollars, pass or fail. After dropping off my car, they called me saying that multiple things were in terrible shape including my tire grip and brake pads. I was then told it’d cost me almost $2,000 dollars to be repaid. My car is barely even three years old. I had denied their service out of suspicion that I was being scammed, and they failed my inspection claiming my car is a danger to have on the road. When paying and picking up my car they also gave me a recall sheet for a 2018 Honda… I do not own a 2018 Honda. These people have zero idea what they are doing. The following day, I went to the Hyundai dealership instead to see if they were telling the truth about the damage on my car, and the mechanics at the Hyundai dealership said my car was perfectly fine and passed my inspection. DO NOT get any work done here. Utterly horrible.
