  A needle in the haystack dealership for sure! You don't find many dealerships like this anymore that go out of their way every step of your buying experience. John Merchant was excellent to deal with. Very honest and has an excellent reputation. He goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with your purchase! He's very knowledgeable about the product, takes the time to listen to you, returns your calls and messages promptly, and does not pressure you to buy. The finance person, Rich, was also great to deal with. I felt very comfortable dealing with Treiber Nissan and highly recommend them.

  I walked into the dealership happy, looking to lease a car. The minute I walked in there was only one person sitting inside by the desk by the front window. It was an older man (mid-50s to mid 60s. Anyway, he seemed very uninterested and refused to get up and acknowledge a potential client had walked in. In fact, I had to go to him. I asked him if they had any leases and he immediately asked me how much do I have to put down so he could check. (a questionable responce and attached attitude) I said none at the moment (meaning I was just looking to decide which would be a good fit for me before I went to get the money) and he just chuckled to himself and said well you have to have something to put down. It was apparent he was drawing conclusions about me, misinterpreted the facts and had an unneeded childlike attitude. What he didn;t understand is that If I like a car I would have gone to get the cash money. At this point I walked away with my sister and looked around a bit and watched him get up and go onto his manager's office and proceeded to have what sounded like a humorous conversation. That's when I had enough of his attitute! I just looked at my sister, we both shook our heads and walked out in disgust! I then rode directly to my second choice of which was to see the Subaru dealer at Goldstein's in colony NY. They immdiately go up and greeted me/ Asked about what I was looking for in a car or SUV and didn't ask about finances or money down until I know what I liked. An hour and a half later from the time I walked in the dealership ...I walked out with a brand new lease car that I loved. My experience at the Nissan dealership was horrible. I would not recommend anyone go to this dealership.

  Poor customer service and a lack of knowledge within the service department. I brought my vehicle in for warranty work on a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and was incorrectly told the repairs were not covered and would need to be paid out of pocket. As someone who manages a franchise dealership, I knew the parts and repairs were in fact covered under the warranty, so I took my vehicle to another Nissan dealership. The work is now being completed at no cost, and I was provided with a rental vehicle to drive until it's fixed. It's concerning to consider how many customers may be misinformed and taken advantage of at this location. This level of service is unacceptable and shows a lack of integrity that contributes to the overall negative reputation of the automotive industry.
