Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.
Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.
We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.
Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.
Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.
Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples.
Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.
There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

What is the point of making an appointment if you aren't going to honor it? I booked a slot, got the confirmation, and cleared my schedule to get here.
I show up on time only to be told, "Sorry, we can't take you today." No call ahead of time, no warning, absolutely nothing. Just a total disregard for people's time and effort.
The customer service is a joke. If you're too short-staffed or overbooked, call the customer before they drive all the way out to your shop. Don't waste my day because you don't know how to run a schedule. Avoid this place, go somewhere that actually respects its customers.

Made a 1:00 pm appointment, got here on time, and waited over 3 hours. This is extremely disappointing.

I work across the street but because of the bushes hadn't seen this MAVIS. I called and immediately got an appointment, they worked with me, and I was in and out faster than I expected. Steve and his crew are very friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAVIS in Islandia!

First I would say an oil change took over an hour but that’s probably because the mechanic had no idea where the oil filter was on a grand Cherokee. I don’t actually think that they replace the O-ring on the cartridge filter, but I can’t prove it and they left dirty oil smudges on my steering wheel and door and shifter. Terrible experience go anywhere else especially for 120 bucks for Just an oil change.

I won’t be returning to this location after my poor experience with them. I called to find out what the cost would be for an oil change and to get my tires rotated and was told $81. I made an appointment for later that afternoon. When I arrived I was told that telephone quote was incorrect and it would be $103 with tax. Steve said the phone rep was from a call center and didn’t base their quote on my location and synthetic oil AND did not include the oil filter and sales tax. After I checked in I remembered I found a $20 coupon earlier and approached the counter to speak with Steve again and he said I was slow because he had already subtracted the coupon. Yes he actually said I was slow. I guess he thought he was being funny. Hardy har har. As I was waiting for the oil change and complementary tire rotation, I called Mavis customer service and was quoted the exact amount as the earlier phone call based on my location and synthetic oil. I told the phone rep , who was located in upstate NY BTW, what Steve said and that I want a refund of the $20. I wasn’t about to get into a debate with Steve, but I wanted Mavis to make it right. The phone rep transferred me to “customer care” who told me they would send a $20 voucher to my email to use at this visit but it would take 30 to 60 minutes. Great except I never received it. And I just checked again and I still haven’t received it. When I paid for the service the final bill with tax was $95.65. If you plan to get your car serviced at any Mavis, I suggest you call and ask the phone rep to put that quote in writing and email it to you so the local shop can’t pull this with you. Shameful… people like this give the reputable mechanics a bad name. **Bonus points for the grease they left on the inside of my driver side door and steering wheel.
