Recently visited this Island park located, I had an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, Vish who is the manager and his staff are very professional, and genuinely cared about making sure my vehicle was taken care of. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel pressured into unnecessary repairs.
The service was fast, efficient, and completed exactly when they said it would be. It’s refreshing to find a shop that’s honest, knowledgeable, and focused on customer satisfaction. My car is driving great, and I left feeling confident that the work was done right.

Be careful… I called in on the phone and asked for a price on an alignment they said $135 I said amazing I have a $35 discount I found online can you apply, they said yes. Amazing so the total will be around $105. When I went in for the service they said it’s going to be $179.99 and with the discount it will be $140…. So they knew I was going to apply the discount and they up-charged me….
Be careful do not get scammed by these guys. They have notes on there computer and they will scam you if they can!!!!

Had a great experience at Mavis. Vish and Amao were both incredibly helpful, professional, and honest throughout the whole process. They took the time to explain everything, got me in and out quickly, and made sure my car was taken care of. It’s hard to find customer service like this these days. Highly recommend this location, and thanks again to Vish and Amao for the excellent service!

I would strongly advise people to avoid this shop. My experience with the managers, Akash and Vish, was extremely disappointing. The entire process felt focused on selling additional services and parts rather than providing honest recommendations.
I was told I needed to purchase new tires in order to pass my inspection. After spending the money on the tires, I was then failed for something completely different. Had I been told about all inspection issues upfront, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, it felt like I was being led from one expense to another.
The store itself often had an odor of alcohol, which raised concerns about the professionalism of the business. Between the constant upselling, the lack of transparency, and the inspection process, I left feeling like customer service and honesty were not priorities.
I have never felt so frustrated and taken advantage of at an automotive shop. There are plenty of reputable mechanics out there who are straightforward with their customers. In my opinion, this is not one of them, and I would not return or recommend it to anyone.

I was directed to go to the Mavis up the block in Island Park from the GREAT guys over at Mavis in Long Beach because they weren't able to do an inspection i needed. I went to mavis Island Park and met Justin { or Jason?] the front desk guy maybe manager? and i knew he already had a chip on his shoulder and a bad attitude .That being said , the car is a 2024 Acura Integra with Only "16500 miles" but they took off all 4 tires ,the mechanic looked it over ,everything seemed fine, but than Justin went into the bay with a flashlight and looked Real closely at Everything. Now i know he was just "doing his job " but as i watched him looking for something, anything and i had this gut feeling i was going for a "ride".....i wasn't wrong.
well he called me in and said i needed a tire !!! the rear tire had a very slight "bubble" more like a pimple .he than said he would fail me if i didn't buy a new tire, But they didn't have the right one so i would have to buy TWO TIRES SO THEY WOULD MATCH IN THE REAR FOR STABILITY!!!..i asked him to "work with me", maybe order me a tire, ask another Mavis dealer if they have 1,,,,,,,something, anything ,NOPE,NOTHHING.. He just was trying to up sell me 2 tires when i only really needed 1,,,,,
he didn't even offer to order me the tire i needed and maybe have me up and running the same day or even the next day even if i were to leave them a deposit for the tire and put my inspection on hold until the next day..
my inspection sticker was still on and DOESNT EXPIRE until the end of THIS MONTH...6/2026........he didn't want to hear anything.....
Nope, he said AGAIN, i had to buy the 2 tires or he would fail me!!!! At this point i felt like i was being bullied!!!
I HAD HIM FAIL ME and i paid the inspection fee and left......
i called back the GREAT GUYS {Amal] over at Mavis in Long Beach, and told them how Justin tried to bully me into buying 2 tires or FAIL THE INSPECTION !!!!
THEY were soooooo understanding over at Long Beach mavis... THEY ORDERED ME THE TIRE , GAVE ME A GRAT PRICE, and had me up and running the next day !!!....
Not only is Amal [ over at Long Beach Mavis ] a great front desk manager, he's kind, understanding, Smart, helpful ,and he has a Mechanic Jamaal, who's GREAT at his job!!!!
