We had a great experience leasing our Chevy traverse. Joe Mankuski worked tirelessly to get us in the car we wanted. He was incredibly patient every step of the way. I would highly recommend Joe to navigate you through the car buying or leasing process. Paul Weiss in accounting was wonderful as well. Great experience!
UPDATE – August 25, 2026
Unfortunately, my situation with Empire Chevrolet of Huntington remains unresolved.
The dealership made an error with my original transaction after the contracts were signed and I had already taken delivery of the vehicle. I cooperated, returned the vehicle, and continued working with Empire in hopes that management would take accountability and find a reasonable solution.
Instead, proposed solutions have left me in a worse financial position than the original agreement. I’ve repeatedly been told that Empire is “bending over backwards” to make a deal work, but I have the original paperwork, advertised pricing screenshots, and communications, and I have yet to see a meaningful dealership concession that demonstrates this.
I’m not asking Empire to eliminate financial obligations that legitimately belong to me. I’m asking the dealership to take responsibility for its mistake and recognize the significant time, inconvenience, frustration, and stress this situation has caused. A meaningful courtesy incentive or concession would go a long way toward demonstrating that accountability.
What disappoints me most is that management appears willing to walk away from the deal and lose a customer rather than find a mutually acceptable resolution.
I have remained patient, flexible, and willing to work with Empire throughout this process. Mistakes happen—but how management responds afterward says far more about a business than the mistake itself.
If Empire ultimately makes this right, I will gladly update my review to reflect that. As of August 25, however, no resolution has been reached, and the lack of management accountability has become my biggest concern.

the entire team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive to what I needed. My car had to stay in the shop for a few days, but the service team kept me completely in the loop—I received updates almost every single day detailing the exact progress of the repairs.
To top it all off, the young lady in the service department pleasantly surprised me by letting me know I had reward points available—and then walked me through redeeming them right on the spot :)
I want to recognize Erick, the Service Manager, for the outstanding service he has provided. Since Erick took over, my experience with the service department has been excellent.
Every time I’ve had an issue or concern, Erick has been extremely welcoming, professional, and respectful. He takes the time to listen, communicates clearly, and most importantly, makes sure things are taken care of properly and in a timely manner.
It makes a huge difference when you have a service manager who genuinely cares about his customers and stands behind the work of his department. Erick has completely changed my experience for the better and has earned my trust and respect.
Thank you, Erick, for your professionalism, your attention to your customers, and for always making sure I’m taken care of. You are a true asset to the dealership and exactly what a Service Manager should be. Highly recommended!
Update – August 29, 2026
Unfortunately, my experience with Empire Chevrolet continued to deteriorate even after I gave the dealership another opportunity to resolve the problems with my original transaction.
After the first deal was unwound, I was told that management had worked extensively on my behalf, had “bent over backwards” to make a difficult deal possible, and I was asked to reconsider or remove my negative review based on those efforts.
I gave them another chance.
I returned to the dealership and went through the finance process again for a new transaction with different financial figures and terms. In my view, once the original transaction had been unwound, the replacement transaction should have been treated as a new deal with every financial obligation clearly reviewed and explained.
That did not happen.
After the second transaction was completed, I was contacted regarding a payment obligation that had not been clearly addressed with me during the new finance process. Another person was present during that discussion, and this issue was not clearly explained before the transaction was finalized.
My concern is not simply whether the payment itself was ultimately required. My concern is the assumption that information or obligations connected to the previous, unwound transaction could simply carry over into a new transaction without being clearly explained again.
This was especially disappointing because the dealership had already been given an opportunity to correct the original situation and restore my confidence.
At this point, my experience reflects more than one isolated mistake. I encountered repeated communication failures, inconsistent information, poor coordination between departments, avoidable errors, and important details being left to assumption rather than clearly explained.
I do appreciate the employees who made genuine efforts to assist me, and I recognize that vehicle financing can be complicated. However, customers should reasonably expect accurate paperwork, clear disclosure of all financial obligations, and consistent communication between sales, finance, and management before a transaction is completed.
After being asked to reconsider my review because of how much effort the dealership said it had made to help me, having another preventable issue arise immediately afterward was extremely disappointing and ultimately caused me to lose confidence in how the transaction was being handled.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective customers carefully review every document, confirm every amount due, ask for important information in writing, and make sure all terms are clearly explained before signing or taking delivery.
What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase was instead overshadowed by repeated problems. Empire Chevrolet of Huntington Pre-Owned ultimately left me with a very negative impression after I was given a vehicle and then had the transaction reversed on two separate occasions because of issues originating with the dealership. That experience took what should have been an exciting purchase and turned it into a stressful and disappointing one.
