- LDLisa DiPasqualeJul 23, 20265.0I have never encountered any issues with Enterprise particularly at the Hicksville Long Island branch. Avis, on the other hand, I have. Because of an incident I had with Avis, I will never rent from them again. When I arrived on LI in May 2026 I headed over to Avis to pick up my rental. I realized I left my credit card back at my apartment in South Carolina so I asked the agent if I could use a digital wallet credit card and they said "no"! They made no attempt to help me with my situation. I canceled my reservation, called Enterprise and was picked up at the Avis branch and headed Enterprise. I told them my dilemma and ask the manager if he would accept a digital payment and he said no problem. Now I'm not sure why Avis could not accommodate me, but the fact that they did not even try to come up with a solution to assist did not make me feel valued as a customer or comfortable with their business practices. They had a very nonchalant attitude which was a major turn off. Sanal Cheripuram, Stefano and the rest of the team at Enterprise in Hicksville were instrumental in solving my dilemma. The team members there are very polite and accommodating.
