I did a AAA road service via app and they were gonna charge me an arm and a leg, plus my mechanic was very busy. I decided to order the battery online from Advanced Auto Parts and when I told them want happened, David and his new employee with no hesitation offered to change my battery! It's a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 with a pain in the butt location and they were done in 10 minutes. I can't thank them enough and I hope they get a raise. I apologize I forgot the person's name but he also did a good job! Thanks again.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
