Just spent over $1400 on new tires, including mounting fees, and NYS inspection. The appointment went as expected and they were on time taking my car in. I didn't fully inspect the job before driving away since it was raining, but I did have a chance to inspect it 10 minutes later. I noticed that the mechanic had attempted to move a set of rim protectors from the old tires onto the new tires, except that they were not placed correctly and more than half of the rim protector was jutting out from the tire-rim junction. If placed incorrectly, rim protectors can actually dislodge during driving and can scratch the car's paint if they rotate rapidly with the wheel. No big deal---I appreciated the gesture, but I wanted them taken off since I didn't ask them to put them on the new tires in the first place. I called the shop and asked if I could pop in for a few minutes to have the mechanic deflate the 2 tires with the rim protectors and just take them off and discard them. The man's response was to offer for me to come tomorrow. I told him I could only come now because I had to take time off work to get this done during business hours in the first place. He said he couldn't help me. This might have been a 5-star experience had it not been for the poor customer service they displayed once they got paid.

Huge thanks to the team at Mavis Discount Tire.
I was on my way from New York City to Canada when my tire suddenly dropped from normal pressure to almost completely flat while I was doing 70 mph on the highway. Thankfully, there was a Mavis only about a mile off the next exit.
I came in expecting I’d need a new tire, but the team took a look, patched it up, and let me know my tread was still in great shape. They could have easily sold me a tire I didn’t need, but instead they were honest, professional, and got me back on the road quickly.
The communication was great, the service was fast, and they absolutely came through when I needed them most. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you again!

This is a great location. I caught a nasty flat on the “great roads of rochester” and had a very unpleasant time between tow trucks and getting my
spare on. When i finally arrived at Mavis, the guys there were a breath of fresh air. They were very patient while I went on a rant about my horrible day and provided calm and reassuring feedback. The customer service was phenomenal and even though there were a few cars ahead of me, they were very attentive and provided me excellent service. I would personally recommend the Henrietta location for all of your tire needs.
