  Shukri went above and beyond to help my brother and I. After we bought our tire pump we didn’t know how to fill it properly and he came outside to help us fill it while also teaching us how to do so. He was extremely professional, which in turn exemplified his kindness. We are grateful to live near such a great autozone with such great service. We will be back for years to come thanks to Shukri.

  I don’t write reviews but Shukri was very helpful and patient. Helped us fill the tires up when pressure was low. Made us feel better about the situation and was so friendly. Very nice service

  I wish I could give this AutoZone more than 5 stars. Tonight, two employees at this location in Hempstead a young man and young woman were truly angels to us. We were driving when the suspension on our BMW X7 suddenly dropped extremely low. The car was so close to the ground that every little bump was hitting hard, and we could barely turn the wheels without worrying that the tires would damage the side panels. Somehow, we made it to AutoZone literally two minutes before closing. Instead of telling us they were closing and sending us away, these two employees went completely above and beyond to help us. They tested our main battery first, which was fine, and then helped us locate and test the auxiliary battery, which turned out to be bad. The auxiliary battery is under the hood and is definitely not the easiest battery to access or replace, but the young man knew what he was doing and helped us get it changed. The young woman was also incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire situation. They stayed with us past closing time, when they absolutely could have gone home, and never once made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. They genuinely cared about helping us get our car safely back on the road. I can’t explain how grateful we are that these two happened to be working tonight. What could have turned into a tow to BMW and an extremely expensive ordeal ended with us being able to drive our car home safely. Thank you both for your kindness, patience, knowledge, and especially for going that extra mile when you didn’t have to. You reminded us tonight that there are still genuinely good people who care about helping others. AutoZone, please recognize these two employees. They represented your company exceptionally well and deserve to be acknowledged for the way they treated us. We will never forget what they did for us tonight. ❤️🙏

  Waiting in line. They're making sure to let anyone and everyone get helped before me! Apparently other people were "waiting" longer than me but they definitely weren't in line, they were out browsing. Didn't know you could save a spot and then go do your shopping to hop the line. The cashier seemed like they just didn't want to help me. There was NO ONE in line when I showed walked up. I'll let you use your imagination as to why the cashier didn't want to help me. I didn't get service until someone else walked up at another register. E: their reply was a form response asking me to contact them. I had actually already contacted them and got a form reply promising me a human would reach out. They never did. They didn't care the first time I contacted them and they don't care now, they just want a good PR response. Absolutely no one was in line when I stepped up. No one. The cashier lied and said someone else was. Clearly just didn't want to help me. I'll leave you to imagine why. But all he knew about me was what I looked like, and apparently that was enough for him to decide he wanted to let someone else be helped ahead of me.
