  Dissatisfied with this franchise. Was here in December for a conventional oil change. Was told they didn't have conventional oil. Spoke to Jose, the manager, who ended up giving me a discount because now I had to use synthetic oil. Back here again in June. Waited for a half hour for a bay. Then told again they didn't have conventional oil. I asked to speak to the manager, Jose. This time he would not give me a discount because he said they don't carry it anymore. Mind you I am a regular customer. Customer service goes a long way, too bad he Jose wasn't forthcoming with the cost adjustment. On the Great Neck Valvoline website coupons are posted for a conventional oil change. Also told him website says they do tire rotations but that hasn't been true for over two years. This is false advertising and misleading. Jose said he has nothing to do with website. Ended up calling corporate and complaining about all of this. Jose's place is a franchise, which means nothing to me, and corporate claimed they could not adjust the website. No satisfaction and a waste of my time all the way around.

  I brought my vehicle to Valvoline for a routine oil change and a coolant top-off. During the service, the technician broke the cap on the radiator expansion tank. Instead of taking responsibility and correcting the issue, the staff refused to repair the damage they caused. Within five minutes of leaving the shop, I had to pull over because coolant was leaking from the cracked radiator tank. I was forced to purchase water to keep the cooling system topped off just to avoid overheating and causing further engine damage. I then had to carefully limp the vehicle to the dealership, where it is now being held for several days until they can replace the damaged cap, inspect the cooling system, and perform another coolant flush. What should have been a simple maintenance visit has turned into a costly and time-consuming ordeal. I am extremely disappointed by both the damage caused during service and the refusal to take responsibility for it. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.
