  The staff member who helped me with my rental contract was great! Very helpful and her customer service was excellent. However, the car was filthy inside and out and the gas tank was empty. I made my reservation weeks in advance.

  I had an extremely frustrating experience dealing with Enterprise in Great Neck while coordinating a rental through my insurance repair. The biggest issue throughout this entire situation was the severe lack of communication, organization, and basic customer coordination between staff, customers, and the partnering collision shop. There also appears to be a major lack of proper training among employees. The day before my scheduled drop-off, I was assured that my rental vehicle would be ready when I arrived. I even followed instructions exactly by calling 30 minutes beforehand so the car could be prepared. After arriving, I was told the vehicle had been given to another customer and that I would need to go directly to the Enterprise location in Great Neck. Once there, things became even more disorganized. I provided all my information, waited while another customer received a vehicle and left, and then after another long delay was finally told there were actually no cars available at all. At that point, they wanted to send me to Mineola during 5 PM rush hour, adding another 30–45 minutes after I had already wasted well over an hour. What was probably the most unprofessional part of the experience was overhearing the staff speaking about me on the phone as if I were the issue. I could clearly hear comments like, “Well she did refuse the car,” and “She doesn’t want to go,” completely ignoring the reality of the situation. Acting as though being sent to Mineola during rush hour was some small inconvenience was ridiculous. The map may say it’s only 7 miles away, but anyone familiar with New York traffic knows that can easily turn into a 30–45 minute trip — longer if there’s an accident or heavy congestion. What makes this unacceptable is that it should never have been an option for me to be sent to the Great Neck location in the first place if there were no vehicles available. When my car shop called to confirm they should have told us that they didn’t have any cars available. Instead, I was left stranded, late for work, and forced to coordinate transportation back myself. The staff came across as inexperienced, poorly trained, and unable to communicate effectively either internally or with customers. The entire process felt chaotic and unprofessional from start to finish. If you need a rental through Enterprise, I would strongly recommend driving to another location rather than using the Great Neck office. This experience showed a complete disregard for customers’ time and a serious breakdown in communication and management.

  Very disappointed, had reserved a car for noon today. When I arrived I was told no cars were available. Clerk told me maybe by 4pm. Needless to say I had to cancel. A courtesy call would had been nice, the reservation was made the day before.

  Update/Edit: I reached out to their customer service and I was told the GM would be reaching out to me. At this point it's been almost 2 weeks and I still have not heard back. This branch doesn't seem to have any ownership of their mistakes or any care for their customers. - I'll start with the positive: the representatives at the location were nice so that's a plus. Beyond that, when I first picked up the car, the car was really dirty. It was not cleaned at all from the outside. When I first sat inside the car, there was a very bad smell that was ingrained in the car. They did not have any other cars, and I did not have time to go to a different location. They offered a voucher for me to go wash the car at a local carwash, but I didn't have time to do that and honestly, it's not my job to do that. There is an expectation that the rental car is clean. It was so dirty and had some scratches, the representatives recommended I take a video so when I bring it back, they don't think that the scratches were caused by me. Aside from the cleanliness, the car seemed to run bad. It felt like a very old car. There was air coming into the car from somewhere even though all doors and windows were closed. Also, when we put the passenger window down, it took a lot of time to bring it back up. Some mechanical thing might have been broken or not working as expected. Overall, it was just a bad experience with the car.
