Very thankful I stopped here after noticing a screw in my tire before a long drive! They were quick to help and never tried to sell me anything unnecessary. Appreciative of the guys working today!

I would prefer to give absolutely no stars... Took my 1992 Miata MX5 into West Herr earlier this month for an inspection and oil change - though it passed both emissions and safety inspections, the service representative told me that my tires were getting dry rotted and cracked and he suggested I replace them before the next inspection next July. I tend to be a worrier and would rather plan ahead and be safe - after all, there is only approximately 4 square feet of contact between a vehicle and the road...so, in my mind I am thinking safety first. Last Thursday, July 9th, I went to Mr. Tire (located at 841 Canandaigua Road, Geneva, NY) - talked to their sales rep, Joe. We discussed tires and found a set that would be more than adequate for Mia. I was told, by Joe, that he had ordered them and we set an appointment for 9 am this morning, July 13th. I arrive for my appointment about 8:45 - I am generally early for any appointment I make...I should've known something was off when I pulled in and there were absolutely no cars in the parking lot. Go in, tell the representative I have a 9 am appointment. He looked and acted surprised. First things first - there wasn't even a tech to install the tires in the shop at all - he (Joe, the one that took my order and made the appointment) had called in sick - so that was the first issue. He started checking into the order and appointment...my tires were never ordered. After spending over 10 minutes looking things up on the computer - blah - blah- blah, I finally said "I am guessing you don't have the tires and they haven't been ordered." To which he replied in the affirmative. At that point I said simply - "I am going someplace else and will be leaving a bad google review." Never an apology - never any kind of smoothing things over...he let me walk out without so much acknowledging their mistake/lack of professionalism. I drive to Monro Tires (510 Hamilton St., Geneva, NY) - waited for a bit and then heard their salesperson tell another customer to head up to Mr. Tire as they also owned Mr. Tire. When I verified that with the salesman, I told him, "Never mind, I am leaving." After the way I was treated at Mr. Tire, why would I do business with the entity that owns them? Drive to Mavis Tires (368 Hamilton St., Geneva, NY) - there was a very polite and helpful gentleman that assisted me. Of course, because Mia's sneakers are an unusual, smaller tire, they would need to be ordered. He assured me that the tires would be there tomorrow and after their inspection of the tires, they could install them about 3 pm tomorrow. So, I will have spent chunks of my day that I will never get back because Mr. Tire fell down on the job - it's not like they didn't have my phone number...I would say it is bad management all the way around. With my background in customer service and the fact that I am not afraid to speak up, I am making sure that others know of my experience. Google, here I come... I included an image of the Geneva, NY location of Mr. Tire with my facebook post...don't waste your time like they did mine.
