I asked if anyone could help me find it I'd be happy to pay them. She said she would be happy to help me but she would not take any money. Within a matter of two minutes, she found it. I haven't been able to lock my car for two weeks because no one could find it. She could have easily taken my money but she refused. I am so thankful I stopped at Advanced Auto Parts. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
