  The technician Asheeim did an amazing job. Shortly after his arrival I went to grab something to eat and before I finished eating he was done! I have utilized Safelite in the past and it wasn't a bad experience but not great either. This experience reminded me that Safelite is a reputable business you just need the right technician handling things.

  Called safelite, they were affiliated with my insurance company. The rep gave me all my options and quoted me a price. Dropped of my car at location..drop off took less than a minute, pickup the same..they even did a little cleaning of my car..which was a nice surprise. Great overall experience.

  Arrived at the shop for my appointment to discover my replacement window was damaged so I had to be rescheduled. During my follow up mobile service appointment, the window was replaced and I was asked to check it out before the technician leaves. I couldn't get the car started, had control chassis errors as my dashboard lit up. He said it was most likely the battery ? Had to jump my car and head over to my mechanic who confirmed the battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Coincidence or not, we move on.

  I had an amazing experience at Safelite of Freeport. Tom was the technician who helped me with my claim and he was very kind, patient, and helpful. My car is a Mercedes with specialty windshield Glass and he told me that my car insurance typically only would cover for standard glass instead of the Mercedes glass, but he was able to get the Mercedes Glass approved for me. I am extremely grateful for that! Thank you so much Safelite for taking care of my car and replacing my windshield with such a quick turnaround!

  I had a very frustrating experience with Safelite. I brought my vehicle in only to have the windshield replaced, but they refused to complete the work because their scan supposedly showed pre-existing vehicle codes, including a knock sensor code that has absolutely nothing to do with the windshield or ADAS calibration. There are no check-engine lights, warning lights, or any other alerts showing on my dashboard. I understand that the windshield camera may require calibration after the glass is replaced, but an engine-related knock sensor code is completely separate from the windshield. The employee also told me that I would receive a printed copy of the scan showing all the codes, so I could take it to another shop or the dealership. However, when I picked up the vehicle, they did not provide the report they promised. Instead of replacing the windshield, attempting the calibration, or clearly explaining which specific codes prevented the work, they rejected the entire job and told me to use another vendor. I wasted my time bringing the vehicle there and left without the windshield replacement or the documentation they said they would provide. Safelite should clearly distinguish between unrelated engine codes and codes that actually affect windshield calibration, and customers should receive any diagnostic report that is promised to them.
