When I returned after three or four hours, they said the parts hadn't arrived yet and would come tomorrow. They’ve done this to me twice now; they shouldn't be selling parts—they ought to just open a candy store instead.

Advance Auto should price match with Napa and I did that last time with different brunch so manager seems unknowable and doesn’t have any idea about price match. His name was Moe. Update: later I went to AutoZone and the crew price matched right away with Napa auto parts without calling manager or making excuses. Needs better training to their managers and crew members.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
