Traveling on the highway I noticed a clunking sound in the front end, I took a detour into Elmira to find a shop that could fit me in and the only one that fit me in immediately was Mavis on Church Street in Elmira. I am grateful that they were able to fix my front end and made sure I was safe to travel. The whole team pulled together to get me back on the road

I stopped by Mavis Discount Tire to get a tire repaired, and when everything was done, they told me there was no charge.
I actually asked them more than once, because honestly, in this economy, you almost do not expect that anymore. Everything feels expensive right now, and I am not in the most financially comfortable place at the moment, so that kind of gesture really caught me off guard.
But the part that stayed with me the most was how they handled it. They did not make a big production out of it. They did not act like they were doing me some huge favor. They just treated it like a normal, decent thing to do.
And maybe to them it was small. But to me, it was not.
I know it might sound sentimental to write a review like this over a tire repair, but sometimes those “small” things hit differently when you are in a season where every dollar matters. Their kindness helped more than they probably realized.
I left there feeling genuinely grateful, and also reminded that there are still people and businesses out there who do the right thing without needing attention for it. I hope I can pass that same kind of kindness on to someone else when I get the chance.
