  I have rented here several times from National at LGA and always had a great experience. Pick up and drop off which can often be stressful or a hassle is great when you have such friendly staff. They dealt with the long line really effectively and Jazz was great at handling my pre booked car for a weekend getaway. Super friendly and helpful staff like her make all the difference and it's why I'll go back. Getting given a free choice of vehicle in the class I booked, and being able to swap if there were any issues is very helpful. There was also no hard upselling at the counter just focus on what you might need based on your trip. I like being treated like an adult and not taken for a ride when renting.

  We used a car from these guys in LaGuardia, Jose at pick up was super helpful and Marvis at drop off was the same. Really enjoyed my time with the car, no issues. Will definitely use National again.

  I cant tell you how dissapointed i was on Sat Oct 3rd when i tried to pick up my reservation in the Emerald Isle.As we entered the National Emerald Aisle i noticed NO CARS..I was concerned but not shocked until we our bus turned the corner and saw a line of literraly 50 -60 people..Nobody could tell me why there were no cars..Bottom line we waited almost 2 HOURS to get a car we had reserved .The only positive comment i can make is the young man who was assigning the cars kept everything under control..Been using National for 14 yrs.Not sure if i will be back

  I’m an Executive Elite member with National, and their LaGuardia Airport location just showed me how little that loyalty means. My wife was left stranded at the rental counter because National refused to let her use my earned free rental days unless I was physically there. With no practical alternative, she was told she would have to pay $400. Then they refused to let me pay for her rental. I routinely book and arrange payment through the app without paying at the counter, yet they insisted she had to pay on site with a card in her own name. I was ready to cover the cost, and they still left her stuck. What exactly is the value of Executive Elite status if I cannot use the rewards I earned to help my own family? Those days represent money spent and repeated decisions to choose National. After this experience, I regret giving them that business. Leaving my wife at an airport with a $400 demand and no workable solution is disgraceful customer service. National can enforce its restrictions, but I can choose where my money goes. I’m switching rental companies. If this is how National treats an Executive Elite member and his family, they have earned every dollar of business they are about to lose.

  Pickup was a disaster at LGA. First the shuttle bus at 9 PM blew right through the terminal C pick up without stopping. Then we get to the rental location and there are no cars, so there are 10 people stuck waiting for cars to be returned. There were many "luxury" cars available, but the staff refused to let anyone take them (even executive elite). Instead we all had to wait around until after 10pm to get cars. It was an awful experience and your committed customers deserve better. Reached out to the automated customer service text and no one responded. Poor national customer service the whole way around.
