I am extremely disappointed with both the service I received at Valvoline and how my claim was handled afterward. I am sharing my experience so other customers are aware. I went to Valvoline on September 5, 2026, for an oil change. My invoice lists the service team as CSR: Jorge, Topside: Jesse, and Bottomside: Blessen. During the service, my oil change indicator was not reset. When I pointed it out, the technician pulled out his phone and searched Google trying to figure out how to reset it. Looking back, that should have been my first concern. On September 8, only THREE DAYS later, my car began making an unusual noise. I took it to Dunn Tire on September 12 and was informed that my oil level was extremely low and my engine was working harder because of it. I had to PAY FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE only one week after paying Valvoline for the same service. I filed Claim #CS3430782 requesting a refund. Valvoline denied my claim, stating my oil was low upon arrival and claiming there was a pre-existing oil leak. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. I went to Valvoline BECAUSE I needed an oil change. If my oil was low when I arrived, why was it extremely low again days AFTER they serviced it? More importantly, my car does NOT have an oil leak, and there is NO oil leak noted on the invoice I received from this Valvoline location. If they are using an alleged oil leak to deny my claim, where is the documentation showing this was identified and communicated to me? I am not asking Valvoline to take responsibility for unrelated mechanical issues. I am asking them to stand behind the service I paid for. I have requested escalation to regional management and will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Customers: check your oil before leaving and keep your documentation.
