  I took my brand new 2026 Subaru in because of a chipped windshield. I originally wanted them to replace it while I was at work, but they said I needed to leave it with them in the shop so they could calibrate the car. I received a call just before I was going to pick it up and they said sorry we couldn’t calibrate it. You’ll have to sign a form that said you’re taking it without it being calibrated. I said I absolutely will not drive that car without the safety features. They told me there’s nothing they can do. He told me I can drive it without the safety features. I called my insurance agent, and when I got to Safelite, my insurance agent talked to the manager. Although the manager was nice, nothing was resolved. To make things worse when I went out to my vehicle, it was dirty footprints on the ceiling scratch on the door. I went back in and called the manager out for her to come and look at it. She said I’ll send somebody out to take care of this for you. When the guy came out and I showed him the scratch and the footprints all over. He said look lady this is a shop. This is what happens. I said, excuse me and again he said this is a shop, this is what happens lady.. He said I he took pictures before and I said great cause we’re gonna go in and look at them. I went back in and asked the manager to bring up the pictures and she did. I showed it to him and said does this look like the car that I brought in? He just stomped away. The manager then stopped him and asked him to pull the car around the back. He gave me a dirty look and walked out in a huff. I turned to the manager and said do you see how he is treating me and what he just did? She said she will address it. I have a car that has not been calibrated so I have no safety features and they will not pay for it to be calibrated at the dealer. This fight is not over.
