  Such a distasteful experience with Enterprise, Deer Park - NY. I felt extremely uncomfortable after having my credit card and ID checked several times. I had inserted it into the terminal to pay and he took it out to check for a fourth time that my name matched.. I booked a midsize SUV and was told I had to pick it up from the Farmingdale location. I had to drive an additional 20 minutes West to obtain a vehicle that was supposed to be at Deer Park. Secondly, I called them to tell them the engine light kept coming on and the representative from DP told me it’s because they forgot to reset the light. I wanted to swap the vehicle out because I did not want to travel with a faulty vehicle. I went to an Enterprise that was in the state I was visiting and they told me I had to take the vehicle to the shop. I sat in Pepboys for a little over 2 hours while they performed maintenance on the vehicle. By this point, I’m beyond displeased. I like to maintain an open line of communication and I kept calling the Deer Park branch to inform them of the situation and they never picked up. I called several times over a span of four days and did not reach a single employee. However, I was able to contact the Farmingdale location and they were more helpful. Madison and Sage (Farmingdale employees) deserve positive recognition and raises. They are the only reason why Enterprise is getting two stars. I highly suggest doing business with the Farmingdale location off Fulton street than wasting your time and energy at the Deer Park location.

  I rented from Enterprise recently, and it was just a chain of headaches. The first car reeked of cigarette smoke—so strong it clung to my clothes. It was disgusting and should never be rented to anyone. I returned it for another. The second car? They said the tire was flat due to temperature, but I found a screw in it. That’s dangerous, and I’m lucky I didn’t end up in accident due to their negligence. Worse, when I discovered the screw, I called and texted the agency—no response, no callback, no follow-up. When I returned, the apology felt insufficient, and the person who rented it stayed hidden behind the desk. The third car was finally just okay—no smell, no screw—but nothing to rave about. Overall, the experience was disjointed and stressful. If I have a choice, I won’t rent from Enterprise again.
