We had a very disappointing experience with Camping World and would not do business with them again.
A few weeks ago, we visited the dealership looking for a camper. We didn’t find one on the lot that worked for us, but a salesperson told us they had one at another location that could be brought in for us to look at. We were told we needed to put down a deposit to have the camper transferred, and the sales manager assured us that the money was fully refundable.
We paid the deposit and were told someone would call us when the camper arrived. Two weeks passed, and we never received a single update. We tried calling multiple times but could never get anyone to return our calls.
After getting tired of waiting and hearing nothing, we requested our refund. My husband went into the dealership and was told by the sales manager that a refund check would be mailed to us. That was over a week and a half ago, and we still have not received anything.
To make matters worse, we’ve continued trying to call for updates, but once again, nobody seems willing to answer the phone or return calls.
The lack of communication, broken promises, and difficulty getting our money back have made this an extremely frustrating experience. Based on how we’ve been treated before even making a purchase, we would never feel comfortable buying a camper from this dealership

I really didn’t want to have to do this. What started off as a nice browsing experience for a camper, left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’m certain I’ll be shopping elsewhere. Won’t name drop, but was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a unit while working with a salesperson. They grabbed a “no pressure” deposit to hold a unit. Very common thing to do. Later decided, it wasn’t for us. Getting this deposit back has been like pulling teeth. The salesperson who was so friendly and helpful is now unresponsive and about as unhelpful as they come. Only after I threatened to go above him did I get a response. Was assured that it was be back to me within 2-4 business days. That deadline has since passed, so I reached out for an update. To no one’s surprise, crickets. I understand that I’m less appealing because I’m not an immediate buyer. But I am in fact a buyer who is still poking around as we speak. So to be completely blown off now, I can assure you that I won’t be returning to this store or referring anyone either. Work on your customer service.
I guess after spending tens of thousands of dollars on a new camper purchase you shouldn’t expect to speak with service promptly. I have called for 6 hours since open and am unable to speak with anyone. It is apparent that after you purchase from them customer service afterwards is of lowest priority. Very disappointed

Unhappy the way we were lead on about the Motor Home we bought being the monthly payment we agreed on for one thing was doubled than agreed. Another thing was that when we looked at the Motorhome with it at the time was a car hitch on the back. This was the reason we definitely decided to buy it, Then was.rushed through the walk through with nothing being said about it at all and with all the rush through we didn't notice until we got it home. Also, the rush of getting our tag along exchange we were told there was no rush getting it there. Until we walked in to buy our motorhome we were told that everything was all set and nothing was said about the loan our tag along camper having to be there at that time until we got there to sign paperwork. This is why we are not happy with Camper World right now. We want to know why we do not have the car hitch that was on it when we looked at. I also spoke to someone a couple of days after we bought it. I told him about the car hitch he told me he would look into it. I have not heard anything since from him. It's a mistake that we hope.is rectified in the end. I would not recommend anyone to Camper World Churchville, NY Not Happy!

The sales team seemed more focused on getting the deal signed than making sure I understood the details of my purchase. Most of the answers I received literally came from ChatGPT instead of someone who actually knew the product.
The entire process after signing was disorganized and frustrating. There were constant miscommunications, delays, and poor follow-up. Before my purchase was even finalized, I was already getting calls about extended warranties.
I was also surprised to find extra charges and packages added for things like a garden hose and the walkthrough. Those should be included or clearly explained upfront. Question every line item and do your research or you will fall victim.
Buying this RV was supposed to be an exciting experience. Instead, it turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. If you're considering buying here, read every line of the paperwork and don't assume anything is included unless it's in writing.
In summary, when commission is more important than customer service and clarity, this is the place for you.
