Absolutely terrible experience. I contacted Safelite over a month ago to repair a chip in my windshield and finally had a technician show up today (July 6) on time, which is the only positive part of this entire experience.
The technician showed up with zero communication, said nothing when arriving, and continued working without explaining anything. Since it was raining, I pulled my truck into the garage to help, and still—no explanation, no communication, nothing.
After the job was “finished,” the chip was still clearly visible. When I asked about it, I was told “that’s how it’s supposed to look.” That should have been explained up front. If I had been told that, I would have replaced the windshield instead of wasting $300 on a repair that leaves the exact same visible damage.
On top of that, getting in touch with anyone at this company is basically impossible. No one answers the phone, and the technician handed me a dead-end number that goes nowhere.
Bottom line: poor communication, poor customer service, and a repair that does not deliver what was expected. Save your money and go somewhere else that actually communicates with customers and stands behind their work.
