  I made a reservation a month prior. I confirmed 2 days prior. I noticed there was no car similar to my rental in the parking lot. The associate asked for my credit card and license immediately as I entered but thankfully I thought to ask where the car was before handing that over. All of a sudden they realized the car was not there. No one from Enterprise contacted me to give me a heads up that there was no car even though I had a reservation. I will be contacting corporate and the BBB as this was disrespectful and unprofessional. This caused a major disruption to my plans. After sitting in the office for almost 2 hours, they got a car that they said was comparable, which was not. I specifically needed an extended cab to hold luggage and the car did not have that. I even asked before agreeing to the new car and again they lied and said it would fit 7 pieces of luggage. I had to leave things behind because it was not as large as what I reserved. After all of that, the car also had an expired registration, so I spent the entire drive worrying I would pulled over or given a ticket for an expired registration. I would not recommend them. As I sat in the waiting room, I watched them give other people’s cars to whoever arrived first on multiple occasions and then would have to tell the person who actually reserved it that the car wasn’t there. So this is clearly a pattern for this office and not just a one time occurrence for me.

  I needed a rental after a bad accident, the Enterprise at Centereach was so nice. They picked me up from the auto repair shop and brought me back to pick up my rental. For someone who won't have a car for a while, you have no idea how helpful and relieving that is. The return process was also very easy. The staff is super sweet, Matt helped me with setting my rental up. I highly recommend.

  My personal experience with Enterprise in Centereach was great! Matt, & Mike rock with customer service. I will definitely be back!! Don't go anywhere else folks. I've been to Hertz in Centereach. I would go with Enterprise. Way more care in customer service!!

  I was recently involved in a car accident on March 24, 2026. I had a rental set up through my insurance company, State Farm, with a different Enterprise location closer to my house. When I called them the day before they advised me they did not in fact have a vehicle for me. Imagine my surprise when this was previously set up. I remembered that I had specifically dealt with the Centereach NY location previously and I decided to give them a call to see if they would be able to accommodate me. I spoke with Matt who I remembered I had previously dealt with after speaking with him. He was able to accommodate me and was extremely helpful and professional the entire time. He had a car ready for me in the morning. I forgot to mention that this was 30 minutes prior to the close of the day. The Chevy Tahoe that I ended up renting was perfect and clean and I enjoyed the comfort of the ride and knowing I was in a good vehicle. I want to say a big thank you to Matt for coming through when the other location failed to accommodate me. I will absolutely only deal with the Centereach NY location going forward because of my great experience.

  The gentleman named Matt helped with everything. Just great experience. It was just easy, not only the cost was more than fair, but he made the process very smooth for the couple days I needed the rental. Even had a question during the last day, he got back on the phone with me and answered it. I would use again
