I went to Goodyear because AAA told me they were a shop I could trust. My car kept dying, and I was genuinely worried something serious was happening. After their diagnostic, I spoke to them and they told me *nothing* was wrong. I trusted them. I trusted AAA’s recommendation. I paid **$287 for the diagnostic and oil change**, and what I got back felt like a slap in the face. My cream interior was trashed — black handprints smeared on my steering wheel, greasy smudges on my seat, scuff marks on my door. The entire car reeked of oil and grime. It looked like someone climbed inside with filthy hands and didn’t care at all about the condition they left it in. Then, the worst part: on my way home, the car broke down again. The exact issue they insisted didn’t exist. When I called, they casually told me to tow it back so they could “take it apart.” After dismissing my concerns and returning my car in disgusting condition, they expected me to trust them again. I felt completely disrespected, unheard, and betrayed. I will never bring my vehicle back to this location.

I went to the shop today and chose this spot out of convenience and decent reviews. What a mistake. I dropped the car off at 8am and had quite a few things I needed them to look at and explained I get out of work at 3:30 and it needs to be ready then. Chris called me around 12:30pm to explain the diagnosis. I couldn’t talk then and called at 1pm, I was in the area today. I confirmed everything that needed to be done (Auto Start battery replacement, filters, oil changes, value gauge replacement). At 3:30 I had yet to receive a call, so I called back. I believe it was Chris again who answered and said “it shouldn’t be much longer”. So I asked what that meant in terms of time. He said “within the hour”. That would mean at the latest 4:30 or sooner. So I went grocery shopping for the hour, pushed my cart back to the mechanic and called again at 4:30. Mark answered and I asked what the status was since it’s been an hour. He put me on hold and replied with “ahh, he’s buttoning up now, shouldn’t take much longer”… once again I asked in terms of time. He said “5 mins”. So I waited outside in the cold with my shopping cart for 20 more mins and walked back to the grocery store. Furious, I still waited until they called… AT 5:30!!! Mark then called and said “yea I have a jeep here”. No shit Sherlock, it should be there…. you mean my car is ready, finally? So I walked back over to the shop, asked to see the bill before paying and asked if anything could be done about the inconvenience. Mark then responds “Are you asking me? I’m a nobody here I can’t do anything for you” While smiling. I then said “I’m being very serious here. Can you figure it out with someone who is somebody?” That’s when Bill came to see what was going on. I explained to him the inconvenience and pointed to the “BY 4:30pm” that was written on the estimate (by Chris I’m assuming). We went through the diagnostic and estimate together and he took off about $100. Granted, I’m grateful for the discount. And I wasn’t even mad about the time or $1100 I spent. It was the lack of consideration for people’s time. So I asked if I could file a complaint. I explained to him that I know what they do takes a while and is sometimes not easy. I know nothing about cars, but I do know something about People’s time and taking that into consideration. Not once that they call me to update me on my service, or to let me know that it was taking longer than expected. Each time I had to be the one to call to ask for an update. Not once did they apologize for any of the inconvenience. After that, essentially venting to him, I suggested maybe talking to his employees about customer service and not joking around at the counter or over the phone. He smirked and said “I’ll channel that up”. I know nothing’s going to come from that vent session. However, my time was wasted so I figured he should hear about it. No one comes to a mechanic and leaves happy. We’re paying $100s- $1000s and for someone to be inconsiderate with time is unacceptable. To make matters worse, joke and banter in an already frustrating situation for anyone let alone a woman is infuriating. After all of the venting and complaining about no calls or apologies, Bill then says “okay, have a nice day”. Again no apology. The car was in their possession for over 9 hours. No updates (minus what needed to be done), no times given, and no apologies. I work and live in customer service, this was by far the worst… which is surprising with a 4.0 rating. I wonder if I had waited in the shop and bitched and moaned the whole time in their ear if they would have got to it sooner. Seems like because I wasn’t waiting around all day, they didn’t see the need to get things done on time. Next time I’ll call every 15 mins for an update. Will not be returning here again.
