So thankful for James for helping me brainstorm and figure out a way to get a rental car last minute at like midnight! His patience was above and beyond, and honestly I would've totally had a breakdown if he wasn't as kind and sweet as he was.
Thankful for you, James!
Where to start- literally a bomb day- my truck died as I was moving 600 miles away. Died in Dunkirk NY and an amazing fried braved the trip to pick me up and take me to the Buff airport. Austin greeted me and looked up my reservation. The van I reserved was taken by a large family but he never hesitated and asked do you need the space? Told him I’m loading it up. He hooked me up with a Durango and honored a better price for the inconvenience. I didn’t catch his name on pick up but he made the day a whole lot better for me- pure customer service and empathy. Then, he greeted me upon my return. Give this dude five stars and a shout out from corporate. He made the difference. ✌️

We booked a car with a discount company, came to pick up and were told they had no cars for at least an hour. We decided to check Enterprise thinking they would be expensive...but Lanaya got us a car right away for less cost than the discount company and the customer service was EXCELLENT. Overall great experience and I highly recommend.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Enterprise Buffalo Airport
I had a reservation at the Enterprise location at Buffalo Niagara International Airport for August 16, which I booked online the day before. My reservation showed a rental price of approximately $214.
I arrived at 7:00 AM expecting to provide my payment information and pick up the vehicle. Unfortunately, the employee at the counter was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unnecessarily demanding. Her tone was aggressive and at one point she raised her voice while speaking to me. As a customer, I should not be made to feel like I am being yelled at or treated as an inconvenience simply for trying to pick up a reservation.
I had forgotten to bring my physical credit card. I offered my debit card and was told they needed the physical credit card. I even went outside and added my credit card information to my Enterprise account online, but I was still required to drive all the way home, get the physical card, and drive back to the airport location.
After I returned with the card, I expected to pay the approximately $214 price shown on my reservation. Only after I handed over my physical card was I informed that there was also a mandatory $400 deposit required.
This was extremely frustrating. If a $400 deposit is required to pick up the vehicle, that information should be made clear and prominent before the customer arrives, not presented as a surprise at the counter after the customer has already gone through the trouble of coming to the location and providing their card.
My biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. Policies are policies, and I understand employees may have rules they must follow. But there is absolutely no reason to communicate those policies to a customer in a rude, aggressive, or disrespectful manner.
I wasted a significant amount of time driving back and forth, and the entire experience was stressful and unnecessarily unpleasant. Enterprise should review both how deposits and payment requirements are disclosed during online reservations and the customer-service standards at this location.
Based on my experience that morning, I would not recommend Enterprise

I have never had a worse rental car experience. Arrived to the rental car building (which had zero air conditioning and it was 90 degrees outside) and there was a line wrapped around the entire room. Stood in line for over two hours because enterprise was so backed up on returning cars and was apparently “out of them” on a Saturday. On top of that, we were told we couldn’t have the vehicle we paid for because we planned on driving to Toronto, which Enterprise will only allow their cheapest cars to do. They had two total employees working and the entire thing was the most nightmare-ish experience I’ve ever had getting a rental car. When we dropped off a week later, other customers were going through the exact same thing. Just pure insanity. Never again.
