If I could leave a zero star review I would.
My sister had a reservation with Enterprise for a 12:00 p.m. pickup. The day before, she called to confirm that I could pick up the vehicle on her behalf and be added as a second driver. She was told that was fine and that I could pick it up anytime after noon.
Unfortunately, while our mother was undergoing emergency surgery, my sister accidentally sent me to the wrong Enterprise location. Given everything our family was dealing with that day, it was an understandable mistake.
Once I arrived, Andrew, who identified himself as the branch manager, initially said there was no reservation under her name. After locating it, we realized I was at the wrong location, but he informed us that the reserved vehicle had already been given away because we were "three hours late."
When I explained the conversation my sister had with Enterprise the day before, Andrew immediately insisted that she had not called, stating that if she had, there would have been a note in the system. Rather than listening, he called her a lair. We have a screenshot of the call log confirming that she did, in fact, call the branch the day before. Andrew then suggested that the person my sister spoke with "must have been someone from India who doesn't know what they're talking about." That comment was both unprofessional and unnecessary. He also claimed there was a 29-minute pickup grace period that was "plastered everywhere in the location." However, we booked online, and neither the online reservation process nor the confirmation email mentioned any such policy.
What was most disappointing was Andrew's attitude throughout the interaction. He was dismissive, confrontational, and unnecessarily aggressive. At one point, while my sister was in tears on the phone, he asked her if she would "show up to an airport three hours late and demand to get on the plane." That comparison completely missed the point. Our issue was being accused of lying and treated with complete disrespect during an already incredibly difficult day for our family.
To make matters worse, after telling us there were no cars available, he offered us a replacement vehicle at nearly $1,400 for four days - roughly double what we ultimately paid elsewhere. While we were in the branch, I also overheard Andrew telling a colleague that he charges customers extra when they pick up their rental in person. Hearing that, combined with the inflated quote we were given, further undermined my confidence in the professionalism and integrity of this location. He made no meaningful effort to help us locate another vehicle at a different Enterprise location or offer a reasonable solution.
Fortunately, we left and were helped by another Enterprise location where Tara treated us with kindness, professionalism, and respect. She found us a same-day rental for about half the price and completely turned the experience around.
Customer service matters, especially when things don't go as planned. Unfortunately, our experience with Andrew was the exact opposite of what I would expect from a branch manager. I hope Enterprise reviews both his conduct and the way this situation was handled so that no other family has to experience what we did. Would highly recommend NEVER going to this location. I attached a pic of call log from my sister's phone for proof of how insane Andrew is.
