Hi, I'm not a bad guy and not the person who writes bad reviews on every store they have in touch with. I just want to share with you my bad experience.
I ordered an AC accumulator on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at night. I paid with a CC the full amount of $64.99 + tax $5.77, in total $70.76. I was in a rush because I needed my AC fixed ASAP. They told me since it's late, it would most probably not arrive tomorrow (July 30), but just a day later, meaning July 31. It was supposed to be shipped to the store and available for pickup.
Wednesday, August 5, after waiting a week and calling in every day for updates, I saw that I'm not getting my part so fast. So I went to NAPA, got it for $20 cheaper, was in and out, and my AC was fixed the next day.
Since I didn't need this part anymore and it wasn't shipped yet, I called in to cancel my order. The store manager told me, "You can't cancel over the phone. You have to come down with the receipt."
Here I got really upset. Not enough that I waited a week for nothing—the reason I'm cancelling is because of their irresponsibility. I HAVE TO TRAVEL NOW 15 MINUTES BACK AND FORTH TO CANCEL AN ORDER THAT I NEVER GOT??????
He told me, "Unfortunately, I can't give you a refund without a receipt," and he ended up sarcastically saying, "I can cancel the order over the phone if you want, but for a refund you'll have to come down with the receipt."
If you think my story is done, you're wrong!
On August 17, I found an extra half hour for this trip (15 minutes per way). I went down to the store to get the refund he promised me, and.... they checked. "There's no such an order in the system."
I gave him the receipt. He scanned it. "Oh, I see you ordered it, but since I don't see it in the orders, I can't cancel your order. You'll have to talk to the store manager tomorrow."
I AM NOT SPENDING 30 MINUTES AGAIN BECAUSE OF THEIR IRRESPONSIBILITY.
THAT'S MY STORY...
NOW MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION.
GOOD LUCK!
Everything is true. You can see the receipt attached. (I erased my name for privacy, and it's creased since it was laying in my pocket for 3 weeks.)
(I would totally dispute the charge, but as I mentioned, I'm not a bad guy, and I thought I was dealing with a responsible company. I tried the way of communicating, but I guess that's not their way of dealing with customers.)

I go in to buy a new battery and I ask if they could install it too , one worker looks at the other guy a black guy with tattoos on his arms , gray beard and asks him does he want to ? He says under his breath “not for free”. Auto zone advertises they will install the battery for free . If your company offers a service and you work there then it is your job. Don’t like it ? Find a new one and I see another review about the same guy 10 months ago and the “owner” says they’ll look into it or whatever. Seems like the issue is still there. So idk if there’s a way to speak to someone else who will do something about it. This makes auto zone look bad. Probably never going to go to this location again.

Mediocre at it's best. Customer service was not that great. They most acted like they are doing you a favor. Especially one guy who might be the manager or something, should be complete a retraining at the corporate office. Will never go there or any other Autozone. It was a disappointing visit.
