Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received at this AutoZone location.
I purchased a battery for my 2018 Toyota Camry SE approximately two months ago, and the battery has already died. I came in for one simple reason: I wanted AutoZone to test the battery and confirm that it was defective before proceeding with a warranty replacement. I did not want to purchase another battery unnecessarily when the one I recently bought should still be covered.
What should have been a simple battery test turned into an approximately 45-minute wait for assistance. I was asked to step outside and wait, and although I remained only about 15 feet away from the employees, I eventually had to get back in line simply to remind them that I was still waiting.
What was especially disappointing was that other customers noticed how long I had been waiting and actually asked the employees to help me. Even after that, I still did not receive assistance. When other customers feel the need to speak up on behalf of someone who has been waiting that long, there is clearly a problem with customer acknowledgment and service.
Eventually, Sanveed was the only employee who stepped forward and helped me, and I sincerely appreciate his assistance.
I do not want to point fingers or unfairly single anyone out. However, for management’s awareness, the employee working the middle register displayed the most noticeable attitude and lack of concern during my visit. I mention this not simply to criticize him, but because I believe additional customer service training would be appropriate.
Employees should understand that many people walking into AutoZone are there because something has gone wrong with their vehicle. They may have a dead battery, a warning light, a breakdown, or another problem affecting their ability to get to work or get home. What may seem like a routine request to an employee can be an urgent and stressful situation for the customer. At a minimum, customers deserve to be acknowledged, communicated with, and treated as though their time and situation matter.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity for improvement. I did not expect preferential treatment. I simply expected basic acknowledgment, reasonable communication, and customer care.
Unfortunately, after waiting approximately 45 minutes, having to remind employees that I was still waiting, and even having other customers advocate for me, I left feeling ignored, frustrated, and deeply disappointed with the overall customer service experience.

I had a great experience at AutoZone, and I especially want to recognize the manager, Ramiz. He was extremely helpful, professional, and genuinely took the time to make sure I got the assistance I needed. His customer service and attitude really stood out. It’s clear that he cares about his customers and takes pride in his work.
Thank you, Ramiz, for making my experience such a positive one. AutoZone is lucky to have a manager like you!

Tried to return a few items I had purchased from another Autozone earliwr that day. The kid, who seemed like he was the only person working, ignored me for a few mins until I had to say something to him. (No other customers were in store) He looks at my receipt and tells me I cannot return items there, since I purchased them at a store with a different tax rate. I tell him I dont even need the tax returned. He says its the computer that wont allow it. According to their site, this is incorrect. If it is correct, they need to update their software, because other companies do not have this issue. I left, got in my car, 30 seconds later he comes outside, walks up to another kid and they start smoking weed.
