- SJSandeep Janjua6 days ago5.0I was at the store on the 27th of August, 2026. I had crossed NYC and was on my way to Boston, when it started raining really hard. I switched on the wipers on my car and after about 5 minutes, the driver side wiper blade just got loose and was blown away! Now, I am without a wiper while driving in the torrential downpour. The Saw Mill River Parkway has hardly any space for broken down vehicles to park. I put on the blinkers and took the first exit that I came to. I parked in a church parking lot and googled an auto parts store. Advanced Auto Parts in Bedford Hills was the closest to my location. I drove there. Now, I was stressed out because I was on a tight timeline to be in Boston and unable to drive my car. I made it to the store and walked in. An extremely amicable gentleman greeted me warmly and inquired about what I was looking for? I explained my situation to him, and he promptly jumped on his computer and directed me to the aisle where I would find the wiper blade that I was looking for. I was still deciding when he called out and told me exactly which brand would suit my needs the best. I grabbed the wiper blade and made it to the checkout kiosk. The gentleman helping me wished me good luck and safe travels after creating an Advanced Auto Parts account for me and checking me out. I rushed back to my car and started to install the wiper blade. But, my very poor mechanical acumen got the better off me and I just couldn’t put it together! After a long while in the rain, I decided to get help. I walked back into the store and lo and behold, the same gentleman who had helped me out earlier, greeted me again. I sheepishly explained my predicament to him, and without judgement, the kind gentleman asked me to lead him to my car. He installed the wiper blade in a jiffy, thus making my day! In addition, he refused to accept any remuneration for his services. Sir, my big mistake was to not ask your name. Angels come in all forms. You were my Angel that day. It was because of you that I was able to reach Boston in time to move my daughter to her new apartment. The world needs more people like you. I know my review would sound trivial to most, but when the time is sensitive and the going is tough, a helping hand is a Godsend. Thank you, Sir.
- BHBraden HullAug 12, 20265.0Quick shoutout to Greg who helped me a lot. I'm a little late to make this review as I was only reminded I haven't done so when I had to make another visit today. I needed a new headlight since one of mine had gone out the previous night. With Greg's help I was able to choose the correct headlight for my car not only in terms of specs for my car, but in the price and quality I was looking for. After chatting with Greg for a bit and being able to crack some jokes with him he also gave me a glove and lubricant to install said headlight free of charge. This probably cost the store all of 10 cents at most, but meant a lot to me in terms of customer service (hence why I returned earlier today). I will definitely be returning for all of my easy car part requirements in the future. Thank you again Greg and I'm glad I was able to brighten your day a bit with my wit and humor. Hopefully you are able to repay me by continuing to help other car owners in their needs on the day to day. Cheers m8, hopefully your managers recognize this review and give you props, or else I'll need to have a word with them.

Gregory helped me initially and was very kind, then Blake helped me remove and reinstall my battery, and helped me find the right sized part for a piece under my hood that was falling off! I can’t recommend this store enough. Incredibly kind and helpful staff, 10/10 all around!
