  Took car there for rear brakes and rotors. Observation is the installed rotors were drilled, new ones solid. After brakes job brakes always made noise. Took it to the daytime asst manager 2x's and he attributed it to the metal deflector on the back side of brakes and repositioned. Still made noise. Took it to a local independent mb trained mechanic and he asked why solid rear rotors. Any real mechanic knows this car comes with a standard brembo brake system. Its a brembo brake system, you can see it 15 feet away. He also asked why the emergency brake cable was disconnected from the brakes. I told him I never touched that, the emergency brake. It always worked and we used it. I asked him if the handle was broken and maybe thats why it was disconnected. He stated no. Then he took the rear brakes apart and found that the emergency brake system was not reassembled properly and for that reason the cable under the dash became disconnected. He reassembled properly and never a problem or a noise ever again. I am contemplating filing a complaint with DMV Division of Vehicle Saftey Complaint Report Form VS-35. In the mean time stay away from this shop. As my daughter said. What is even worse is brake job cost $800 when they only had maybe $200 in parts. Them look at the companies typical bs response fir me as the customer to contact them at a phone number. Its all bs. They have my number. I been a customer since 50 years starting with Cole Muffler who was later bought out by Mavis.

  Josh and his team offered great service at my visit. I only came in for an oil change before a road trip but while the car was on the lift, they found 3 of my tires to be worn on the inner tread to the point that the chords/wires were showing through! I actually saw the tires and were so relieved they spotted the potential catastrophe!! They were able to replace all 4 tires with a brand of my choice. I did have to wait for them to get the tires in stock- only a couple hours- but they had me back in a safe vehicle for my trip!! SOOO grateful for thier hard work.

  I only go here out of necessity. The guys are usually standing around, with maybe one doing work. They overinflated all of my tires by about fifteen pounds the last time I was there.. Every time i've been there, they've given me a laundry list of things that need to be done to my vehicles with a hefty price tag. One example is they told me that I needed new brakes when the ones that I had were less than six months old. That, by the way, happened to me on both of my vehicles. This may not be such a big deal, but expect to find grease in your vehicle after they service it. Maybe it's just hard to find good help....

  Horrible experience at this shop. I’d never been to this facility before but ran into a desperate situation with a tire that had gone bad because I needed an alignment. The place I purchased this tire from did not offer alignments and could not get me a tire in my size for 3-5 days. I called Mavis and they had a tire so off I went to be serviced. This was on July 28th. They replaced my front driver side tire but said they could not do an alignment because my passenger ball joint was bad. I paid for my tire and left with a receipt indicating the bad ball joint on the passenger front side with an estimate on replacing that part. I had this ball joint privately replaced on August 1 and at that time the front driver side ball joint was checked and found to be still in good shape. I scheduled an appointment online for the alignment to be done Monday morning, August 3. A few minutes after pulling my car in, the associate tells me that they can’t do an alignment because the front driver side ball joint is bad. Obviously I knew this to be incorrect and I left. If this ball joint was bad, they would have told me that when they mentioned the passenger side needing to be replaced and both sides of my car would have been indicated on my receipt, not just the passenger side needing to be replaced. I went to a different shop yesterday afternoon and as expected, the car was aligned and no mention of anything needing replacing or any reason why they could not perform the alignment. Mavis either did not want to do the alignment or they thought they could take advantage of me as a female. My guess is the second one. I will never go back to Mavis, this location or any at this point. One would think a national chain shop like this would have more respect for the customers and would care about them returning. Instead of gaining a new customer from me, they caused me stress and the need to drive elsewhere and pay more for a service they could have and should have taken care of.

  I had an appoit5today for 2pm att mavis in amsterdam . Dropped off the truck was told I would receive a call back In approximately 20 mins to let me know the verdict. There was a truck on a lift being worked on and a couple waiting. As im leaving I noticed 3 workers just sitting around. An hour goes by and I call to see if they had my truck in. They said oooh it will b in 5 mins and we will call back. A half hour goes by so I decided to swing by....as my truck is finally pulled in. I asked Brody howcome there's another car already on a lift and my truck is just being pulled in to which he replied thats how it workd...so I asked how long it will take to get it done he responded an hour or so or i can give u the keys and u can take it if you would like to, So I said ok im good w tgat go ahead and fix it but itneeds to get done today or ill have to escalate the issue, and drove off. 5 mins later I get a call from Brody saying come pick up your truck we wont b able to do it brother. Very upset w the costumer service asked for a ma agers number and his name which was written on a business card w a bit of attitude. Now not only I waited my time, am upset as I need the truck for a long trip tomorrow and not even an apology. This is the service we get from mavis I guess. Tried calling the manager but goes straight to voice mail. They could have just said we can do it from the initial first call vs having me spend my time when I could have looked for another place to do what it was needed. !!!! Guess thats mavis
