  Poor customer service at the Albany International Airport, Incorrect address to get the car and doesn't allow Apple, Google and Samsung Pay. Get with current technology.

  I used Alamo at Albany International Airport since I had great service at Portland, OR and Syracuse, NY. There was a long line for other companies, but the sign at Alamo said to go to the garage which was close. There were three agents working and no waiting. The online early check-in made for a quick pick up. Car was clean and a 2026. The after hours return was easy to see where to park the car and where the lockbox was located.

  The agent when I picked up the car in Albany 5/20 was amazing. Very happy on that end. We were in cooler weather and did not need the A/C. But as we drove through South Dakota in 85° weather, the air conditioner blew nothing but hot air. When we arrived in Billings to return the van, we advised them of the not working a/c. She said, “oh yeah, Pacificas around 30k miles start falling apart.” Then get rid of them before that, Alamo! The lady offered a whopping $30 for the inconvenience! It was absolutely awful when we had to drive with the windows open at high speeds of 80mph+ which was so unpleasant and I expected more. We were paying $1600 for this van for 10 days that was not fully functional. So $30 was INSULTING. I said I expected more than that and she said $50 was the max she could do without a manager, so I accepted the $50. This incident, on top of an incident in March where in AZ, Alamo gave me a rental with a slow leak that went flat and the disastrous day that caused ruined an entire day of a 3 day trip. I always thought of Alamo as a top notch brand. Now I am hesitant. In fact I am on another trip and chose Budget over Alamo when given the choice on Costco. I usually think of them as a lesser brand, but did not choose Alamo because I have had 2 consecutive cars with major problems and was compensated nothing the first time and then $50 this time for my troubles. I figured I had nothing to lose choosing Budget since my 2 Alamo rentals in 3 months times were duds that partially ruined my trips.
