This was the only one where I was told I could get it replaced on the spot. I called the Colonie Advanced Auto and was told "I'm alone so call Westgate Plaza location" I call Westgate Plaza and Dane was also alone. But he took the time to replace my battery in 5 minutes. There were 2 customers waiting for a couple minutes. Neither one of them minded. It was fast and efficient. Shout out to Dane for not being lazy. He was very personable and friendly also. Nice smile and personality. Good customer service is hard to find post Covid.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
