  I’m just a girl driving a car I pulled in to valvoline after work around 7am on 6/22/2026 and John was so welcoming , he asked me what was my reasoning for coming today I said I’m leaving to Long Beach the next morning after work I need a oil and filter change , meanwhile he was asking the normal questions he shocked me when he asked me did I want him to also check something behind my glove department I wasn’t really listening I was just saying yes yes yes get me right , he pulled out my glove department and behind it was another mysterious air filter I never knew about as long as iv had the car iv been to valvoline or Walmart for oil and filter changes and omg I never knew and never seen no one show me I had an extra filter on my car but again im just a gurl driving a car I knew the basics but wow he blew my mind I couldn’t stop thinking about what if I never came to this location which iv normally have but my friend brings the car sometimes and we both never knew the filter was super dirty and im so excited to of had met him and came after work also in uniform because I work for GMT CARE a medical transport company and he mention how they give discounts for First responders I was super excited to hear that because not only I got one filter changed I got two mysteriously and I had a coupon for a certain percent off and he was able to give me 20% off omg and now that iv been working all this time for GMT by the way is my 1 year anniversary with the company an many more to come I now have that discount as long as I’m apart of the Field. Thank you u to JOHN he’s a keeper hope he continues to strive for the best for every customer thank you I’ll be back . Thanks to everyone who was also apart of the help with my car .

  Love the guys over there on 109 South rainbow especially James ! James help me out so much with that app for Groupon cuz I could not get into it so he helped me he did the best he could he took his time those guys took care of me those guys know that I'm a customer anyway and this time I just use the coupon from Groupon because it would be Less bravo to James he need a raise a serious one and this is not the first time James has been good he's a good guy and I appreciate him and thank you Valvoline

  NEVER GO TO VALVOLINE!!! I go in for an oil change and any other maintenance that I may need before a road trip and the technicians seemed to have no clue what they were doing. One technician tells me that my air filter is at the end of its life and should be replaced if they had it in stock and then another technician tells me it's fine until it's next service. During the whole time of my AC service they had me sitting in my car in the hot sun while the technicians are going back and forth and looking of their phones as if they don't know how to use their own equipment. After I paid over $300 for everything and I'm heading home barely even 2 hours later my check engine light comes on which triggers another light to come on in the car. I go back to the location to get it checked and the technicians said that the light has to be manually reset and tried to reset it as if the maintenance light came on. During this 2nd visit, no one bothered to open the hood of the car to check on their work to see if there was an issue. Per the customer service rep, these technicians are only aware of how to do fluid services and don't know how to do anything mechanical to the car. WHY HAVE PEOPLE WORKING ON CARS IF THEY ONLY KNOW A FRACTION OF HOW TO WORK ON A CAR?!?! I had to drive to multiple locations to try to get this issue fixed since Valvoline could not do it. $240 and hours waiting for a diagnostic/repair only for the auto shop to discover that the breather tube was not installed back in after it was taken out for the air filter inspection/replacement. The mechanic said that if the issue was left as is, my car would have been seriously damaged. I was told I would be compensated for this issue by a Valvoline customer service rep only to be told later that they wouldn't refund me because they don't touch that part of the car even though there is documentation that Valvoline was negligent. Then they tried to turn it around as if the light was already on when I came to the shop when it was not during my first visit and no where in the comments of my first visit is it noted that there were any preexisting issues with my car. All I was offered was a refund on the oil change and no other service and a coupon for a free oil change which I decline because I will never be going back to any Valvoline location even if I was desperate. Horrible customer service and business where their technicians don't properly do their job that we pay them to do and then corporate won't even take accountability for it. I would give negative stars if it was possible.

  My second time at this location after 2 years. Had a bad visit first time but I decided to give it a second try. The first time they lost the bolts to the underside cover and didn’t tell us until we had to go back because it was dragging. When we went back same day they said all they could do was use zip ties and we’d have to go to the dealership to get replacement screws. This time, the employee assisted every single car that arrived 10 minutes after me in the other lane. And I wasn’t assisted until I was in the bay which prolonged the process a bit. After the oil change was finished I noticed my RPMs were very low and my car was extremely shaky. The attendant just said “it wouldn’t shake from an oil change, just drive it for a little” It is still shaky 2 days later and my check engine light has since come on.
