  James Sturtz refused service to my wife and I. No reason at all the customers in the facility reported to police he was completely inappropriate and unethical. Mortified by such an experience. The only reason police and bystanders could guess as to why he was refusing service was sexual orientation discrimination.

  One of the worst car rental experiences ever. I reserved a compact sedan for a weekend road trip. $200 for a three day rental. No bargain, but the location is close to home. I had arranged pickup for 10am on Friday. On Thursday, an Enterprise rep calls me to tell me that my reserved vehicle is not available for pickup at 10am, could I come at 11am instead. I told her I could not pickup at 11am because I was driving to MA and had a meeting to attend. I told her the professional thing to do is offer me an upgrade for pickup at 10am at the same price. After much deliberation, she offered me a minivan, which I politely declined. That is a downgrade in my book. On Friday I showed up at 10:15 and they presented me with a VW Jetta. On the surface a decent sized sedan with good gas mileage. It was an acceptable vehicle and perhaps an upgrade from what I originally reserved. Until I drove it. Even though the vehicle was low mileage and very clean, there was one major problem, which I didn't discover until well into my journey. Every time I hit a bump or switched lanes using the vehicle blinker, the front wipers would engage. It was the most bizarre thing! It only happened on the highway, not on local roads. And regardless of sunshine or rain, if I changed lanes or hit a bump, I had to deal with the wipers engaging. While this may sound laughable, it was maddening on a 4+ hour journey. Today I returned the vehicle and politely described the problem to the counter staff, who all appear to be recent college graduates. They seemed somewhat interested in the problem, and apologized for the inconvenience, but where is the customer retention initiative? I was not offered a discount for future rental. I was not offered a complimentary day. I was not offered a cup of coffee. I was given a defective vehicle and a half-hearted apology. My future car rental business will be directed elsewhere.
