  I called Mr. Tire a week before my appointment to get a quote for four new tires, an alignment, and an oil change. I was quoted $879.02 for the tires and alignment (including tax) and $98.99 for the oil change. Based on that quote, I expected my total to be approximately $978.01. When I arrived for my appointment, Darren advised me that the total would be $999.69. While not a huge difference, it still felt inconsistent with what I had been quoted ahead of time. While my vehicle was being serviced, I received a call recommending additional work, including a battery replacement, brake pads, an engine air filter, and a cabin air filter. I explained that those repairs were not in my budget and declined them. I was especially surprised by the battery recommendation, as it is only about a year old. After leaving the shop, I stopped at AutoZone, where the battery was originally purchased, and had it tested. It came back at 99.99%, and I have documentation of that result. While I understand that shops may make preventative recommendations, this made me question the accuracy of what I was being told. The most disappointing part of my experience happened when I picked up my vehicle. My car was left unlocked, and I noticed noticeable scratches on multiple wheels that I had not previously been aware of. I brought this to Darren’s attention, and initially, rather than taking the time to look into it or walk through it with me, he started spraying and wiping it off indicating the scratch was gone when it clearly wasn’t, and was repeatedly told that the damage must have been caused by hitting a curb and that their equipment could not have caused it. What frustrated me most was not just the explanation, but how it was handled. I felt dismissed rather than heard. Instead of someone taking a moment to review the concern with me or explain things in a professional way, the response felt defensive and included an offhand comment comparing my driving to his wife’s driving. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, I felt dismissed, blamed, and patronized. Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how those situations are handled. Had someone simply acknowledged my concern, taken a closer look, or handled the conversation more professionally, my experience may have felt very different. I spent $999.69 that day and left feeling disappointed. Between the discrepancy between the quote and final price, the questionable battery recommendation, my vehicle being left unlocked, and the way my concerns were handled, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.

  Mr Tire in Berlin I highly recommend. The price was right, the management was amazing, the time it took to get the job done was perfect. I can honestly say I will come back again!
