- RRRichard Raab1 day ago5.0Had an issue with my battery and went to Advance Auto Parts in Turnersville NJ. Andrew gave me great customer service and I wound up getting a new battery installed. Andrew's diagnosis of the problem was spot on and he installed the new one very quickly. One thing, my emailed receipt should have come with a code to enter a contest to win $200 for a review, but it did not have that code on it. No big deal, but wanted them to know.

His coworker was on break so he was the only one available, but he was extremely efficient and very communicative with the people coming into the store, explaining that he would get to them after he helped me put on said new wipers. I never thought that I’d be writing a review for an auto parts store, but Drew‘s demeanor made me want to! :)

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.
How much does a car battery cost?

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
