I Went in bright and early the next day for a battery test. Guy instantly said he was short handed and couldnt leave the store. Understandable, however. There were zero customers in there. Nobody in the parking lot either. And trust me I would of waited if there were no problem. Probably would of took him less then a minute max for the test. I used to manage for Autozone myself years ago so im aware of policies in these types of places. But sometimes going alittle above and beyond goes a long way. I walked out, had to call a friend to come jump my car again and went to a autozone. A hassle. I called autozone, they said sure they will test it. Got a test, a new battery and installation in less then 5min with them. I tipped the guy $30 for helping me out so fast. You lost a $300 battery sale to a competitor because he didnt want to step out for a minute to help me out. Read the room, help people out. But reading the previous reviews, this seems to be the trend. I worked with guys that just didnt feel like going out to do batteries or blades and they would use that excuse as well. A little customer service goes a long way. And i never write reviews, I get it, but that wasnt the best way to start my holiday weekend at 7:30am.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
