- JSJay SundarApr 20, 20261.0This parking lot used to be affordable at $5, but now it has become completely unreasonable. It is $7 for 12 hours, and commuters end up paying $12 for 18 hours. That is excessive for a station parking lot. To make matters worse, I used to pay before boarding the train, and I was even charged twice — $14 for only 13 hours at Somerville. These prices are starting to feel like New York City parking rates. This is frustrating, unfair, and horrendous for everyday commuters. Getting to work should not cost a fortune just for parking. If this keeps up, NJ Transit is going to lose riders because of it.
