I went to Mavis this trip for a routine oil change. I was told I needed rear calipers and pads. I informed them that I'd like to be told when my pads are wearing down so I won't need to buy rotors anymore. Darnell was a pleasure to deal with!!! 5/5 stars — I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Darnell at Mavis Discount Tire. From the second I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and genuinely seemed like he cared about making sure I was taken care of. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free.
What really stood out was Darnell’s customer service. He went above and beyond instead of just trying to rush me in and out the door. He was honest, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was handled correctly before I left. It’s rare to find someone who makes such a strong impression from a simple trip to a tire shop, but Darnell absolutely did.

I was in AC for my daughter’s birthday, engine light came on. Drove over to Mavis in Somers Point, NJ. I had my car looked at in Philly before my drive, the tech at Auto zone wasn’t sure what it was, possibly a misfire. Darnell at the front desk consulted with one of the mechanics, Misaki (spelling) he said if it’s the oil light take to the Hyundai dealership it’s a recall and they will fix it. Darnell walked out with me to my car and listened to it and looked at the light. He said it should be fine and directed me to go over to auto zone and have them diagnose and reset the code.
I headed over to AZ and I look up and the mechanic Misaki followed me and asked me to come back said no no it’s the check engine light we can diagnose it. I had a 3 hour ride back home and he said we can’t have you on the road with a potential issue. I was so impressed this team went above and beyond for me. What great service and a great group of guys here. I wish I could give them 10 stars!! This was an awesome experience!! 😃😃
