In alllll the years utilizing many part stores including commercial accounts; I have never been handed brake lubricant. Seriously kudos to the gentleman that assisted me this evening. 🥳🥳 I always ask my mechanics to lube it and they never do. Tomorrow they'll be using this lubricant and then I'll swap out the brakes I bought from another location because they only lasted 3 weeks . I hope this will increase the longevity. Brakes never last longer than 3 months for me and I've used all grades...

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
