Since I got no email this time to put my review on, I’ll put it here.
When you build rapport with-a business it’s for the sake of them recognizing your consistent patronage and getting better care, but clearly that’ wasn’t today’s case.
Instead of what’s going on with my car that I just paid over $1k to get repaired only to have the same problem persists and now being told it’s the brakes, the first question asked of me from the manager was what happened with the assistant manager the other day.
The only conversation should have been what Mavis is going to do about fixing my brakes and not charging me, but instead I was chastised and debated with like a child as if I did something wrong and the behavior I was accused of wasn’t warranted if I actually had behaved as accused… then told that I’d be charged $900-1400 MORE to fix my calipers and rotors they HAD to know was a problem when they charged me $1000 to fix the tire rods just days before, and was told they were “helping me out” with pricing.
The conversation the manager had with a customer when I was in the original “repair” was they require debit PIN numbers because people were reversing charges… now I see why.
Little do they know you can dispute debit transactions too.
I have gone in and out of like with this location for 3 years, and now I’m over it.
The ONLY person that gave me reason to stay for well over a year and a half was the manager, and he has now proven to have NO integrity, and prioritizes a sale over customer safety and loyalty. Bo was very helpful in the situation, acting as BOTH managers should have, but Bo could not produce the results needed and Bo is not enough for me to continue business there so…
Taking my business elsewhere.

Refused to mount and balance 4 tires with wheel alignment on my truck. They tried to say my truck was to big but had a bigger one on the lift. They've had my truck on the lift before for tires. They don't want to work at this location. Don't waste your time! And I called them first and they said they could do it but turned me away after driving all the way there.

Zero stars! Worst experience. Second time I've been to this Mavis. Went in for an oil change, tire rotation and an alignment since my car was pulling to the right a bit. When they inspected it, needed to replace my control arms. Fine, done. They quoted me 2 hours, by hour 4 I was questioning the time. I asked about the tire rotation when they said my car was about done, they hadn't done it yet. 15 minutes and I was out of the parking lot. Great? Right? Nope! The next week my car was pulling AGAIN, took it to another tire place and they rotated and did another alignment. Finally fixed. Paid the new tire place $100. The worst part of this visit, my oil light came on my car at 3k miles. My car has NEVER had an issue with burning oil, leaking, I've always done the preventative maintenance on time but my oil light comes on with full synthetic oil at less than 3k miles? Went to Valvoline, I'm 2qts low, the oil is almost black. My guess is Mavis never did the oil change. You charged me for an oil change, alignment and tire rotation and did none of the above. $$ I can't recover. Never going back to this location or the one in linden. Horrible experience, didn't do the work, dishonest and poor time management. They tried to upsell me coming in and checking out. Ludicrous.

The screws on my old license plate were rusted over so badly I couldn’t get them off. I tried different tools and tricks and eventually decided to come to Mavis to have them removed. When I came to Mavis, I saw Beaux and Juan at the desk and they were very friendly and welcoming and provided excellent service. Not only did they remove the screws, but they also offered to help me to put my new plates on without charging. This may seem like a small thing to some, but I was really impressed with their willingness to help and not looking to always make a profit. I have come to Mavis before for brakes and other work and this location is full of friendly and helpful staff. I’ll be recommending them to everyone!
